Arthur's bold move left Kris and the Thunder Knight Commander completely dumbfounded.
Now they finally understood why Arthur had called them both fools earlier.
Velen was a notorious spendthrift. If he brought something out in front of you, it wasn't because he was afraid you'd ask for it—it was because he was hoping you would!
The only thing he feared was that you didn't know how to spend!
With this realization, Kris and Thunder exchanged a glance, then strode straight over to Velen.
"I wonder what kind of 'brilliant ideas' those two will come up with," Velen mused, clearly intrigued by their approach.
"Your Highness Velen," Kris began, "I heard you mention wanting to replace all the fortress's buckets, bathtubs, and foot basins. As it happens, I have excellent blade control. If Your Highness trusts me, I'd be happy to take on the task!"
