Not only are the defensive capabilities of the second skin top-notch, but it is also very light. It is almost as if he isn't wearing anything.
But if there is one problem he can have with it, it is that he has to be baked to use it. The second skin has to be on top of his own skin.
However, he doesn't hate this arrangement because the second skin keeps him cool. The second skin is metallic, so having it close to his skin means he won't sweat like he used to do with his black plate armor.
Besides, there is nothing that prevents him from wearing some clothes on top of the second skin. He can even put on a plate armor if he wants.
He didn't put on another layer of armor, though. He just wore one robe.
The robe was large, soft, and red. It matched his red hair, so he picked it. He didn't wear anything else because they won't matter or offer any more protection.
