During breakfast, Cristiano arrived at the table alone.
Seeing him without Portia, Alpha Hawthorne raised a brow and asked, "Where is my sister?"
"She's still sleeping," Cristiano replied calmly.
"That's odd," Alpha said, a bit surprised. "She is usually the first one to wake up."
Cristiano kept a straight face, but inside, he was a little awkward. He couldn't exactly tell his brother-in-law that Portia was still resting because she was exhausted… after a certain exercise. So, he just kept quiet.
Truth be honest, he did not expect the crown princess to be so stubborn. Although they had an arranged marriage, or shall he say, a marriage of convenience, but now his wife was acting more like his wife. He did not know how she was so comfortable in acting the role of his wife while he was still uncomfortable in many things.
