Emilia
"Well, I've been tagged a murderer, after mistakingly killing my brother." She gasps. "Why would someone like you want me for a bride?"
'Blood' Anton growls, interrupting my thoughts.
When I looked down at Emilia's slavery kind of wear, I could see some blood stains appeared right where I had wrapped my hands around her waist.
"Uhm…what's that? Do you have injuries on your body?" I asked. I had barely touched her.
She immediately covers the stains with her hands. "Yeah! Nothing, it's just a little cut that I keep knocking and it opens up again. I did forget it's there."
Did she just say 'forget? I mean, how could she just forget a wound?
'Why isn't she healing?' I feel Anton's panic. 'She's been with us for not less than two three and a half hours now and already she has some form of injuries.' Anton's need to protect her was strong.
This was strange as it didn't occur to me, that her lack of ability included not being able to heal. Jesse had really bounded her as well as taken away her Alpha power, even though she had the alpha blood flowing in her. I would have to find someone who could reverse the binding and soon.
"Can I have a look?"
"It's fine." She mumbles.
It was already so sick of hearing that phrase.
"Well, you have only one option, and that is to show me, or I will find a way to see it for myself, if you won't."
She looks around the kitchen after hearing those words from me. My heart skips a beat. "Can…can we go to some more private and convenient place?"
"Some private place? I really didn't do private. What wolf did?!
She boobs her head, bit still keeps her focus slightly off of me. Almost afraid to look me directly in the eyes.
Suddenly Anton mutters, 'office.'
'i was going to suggest that!' I quickly snap back at my wolf. I feel his eyes roll as she retreats to some dark corner of my mind.
"This way." I gesture to the door.
Emilia gradually follows from behind. The scent of blood steadily grew stronger, it was more than just a cut as she said, and I knew that already
When ewe got to the office, I hit the remote, and the blinds start to drop, blocking out the sunlight. Emilia hesitates and slowly begins to unfasten the button of the shirt, bit only where the large blood stain was, every other part was kept covered from me.
She pulled her shirt to one part. The wound was so deep and already fairly infected.
"Uhm, it's fine." She whispers.
"Come on, you need to stop saying that."
She shuts her mouth off and starts to fasten the buttons.
"No, you have to hold on." I grabbed her hands immediately, I have just caught sight of another bruises. "Let me see the rest of them."
She just had to remain calm, because she has no option.
She gasps as my fingers rip apart the rest of the buttons.
Her sports bra have seen better days, just the same as her panties. But it was the bruising that I was most concerned about. Bruise upon bruise, scars that had come from whips. Her hip bones and her ribs stuck out from her thin frame.
I tuned her around and pull the dress from her, I find out that her back is just the same. Interestingly, I found no marks above her chest and nothing below her thighs. Her arms also completely bare of wounds.
There was only one reason why someone would do that. To either hide what they were doing to someone, or to keep up appearances. They didn't want guess to see. More importantly, they didn't want me to see, considering the meeting was arrange even half a year ago.
She pulled her dress tightly around her thin frame, fumbling with the dress.
"I'll take you to a doctor, because you need to see one. I said that, putting on a sad and angry face.
When she was about to say something, she trails off, when she sees the anger on my face. "It always heals eventually." She manages to mutter.
"Who did this to you?" I mutter with my teeth gritted and gesture to her body.
She lowers her eyes.
"Is it Jesse's fiance?"
She still doesn't answer.
"That asshole that follows Jesse around, as well as all his company?"
She gently nodded her head, pulling her dress tighter around her. She brings her hands up to her face, brushing her teeth and wiping away an escaped tears.
"Okay, is that all, or is there anyone else?"
"The entire pack." she said.
'Hmmm, they're going to see my wrath, I'm going to eliminate them all.' Anton growls.
He will have to get in line,
"Because of wat you allegedly dr to your brother."
She nods.
"I don't believe you were responsible."
She immediately tilts her head up in dismay towards me, her brows knit together as her eyes finally finds mine. "All because of blood of wolfsbane?"
"I don't know what blood of wolfsbane is." Emilia whispers.
I looked up at her with a frowned face. "Your brother said you inew the difference between plants."
"I…" she trails off, seems like she doesn't have an answer to my question, or at least she couldn't remember, not fully.
"Blood of Wolfsbane is Wolfsbane fed by our blood. The leaves will have a red hue to them. I can't imagine a child would know what it is, because it is not freely grown. Your brother's story doesn't add up." Emilia said.
"Oh."
"Well, I will take up everything on me, I won't stop until I find out who did this, Emilia." I said as I narrowed my eyes. "I will make them pay for the suffering they have made you endure." I said, as I sat down on the stool behind me in the office and study her carefully. "Hmm, I think that you need to see someone about the infection you might have contracted as a result of the wounds you sustained.
Emilia kept her mouth closed, and was still trying to process everything I have just said. His brother never considered it.
