Chapter 11 - The Throne of Fate

" I believe it's only fair that we allow Mimi the opportunity to help cure her mother's curse. She's already lost her father and if what you're saying about Gods' blessings are true, then Faerah's blessing should protect her from any danger we encounter along the way. "

You answer Noeh as Mimi hugs you with tears in her eyes.

Upon hearing your answer, Mimi jumps up and cheers with a bright smile on her face.

" YAAAAY!! THANK YOU, STAR FALLER!! I promise that I won't let you down and I'll do my best to help you save Mama!! "

Faerah peers at you with a glare of interest. She then speaks to you calmly as she summons a group of flying faeries that twirl around what looks to be a large silky pink ribbon, presenting the ribbon like a hammock in front of Faerah.

" Very well, mortal. You may place Veronica here upon this ribbon and I will take her to Havnahm until you're able to retrieve our father's book. "

You look down at Veronica with angst as she lies unconscious in your arms before approaching the floating ribbon and gently setting her down onto it. Mimi gives her mother one last hug with teary eyes and a kiss on the forehead before Faerah departs to her realm.

" Don't worry, Mama. If you can hear me, I wanna tell you that I'm gonna be alright. You're not gonna end up like Papa because Me and Star Faller are gonna do our very best to get that book. I love you… "

Faerah gives you both a smile with kind eyes before she opens a pink portal beside her, stepping through it along with the faeries that are carrying Veronica on the pink ribbon.

Noeh, Izael, and Aatu all turn their attention towards you.

" Come, mortal. Let us handle this urgent matter at hand in my throne room. I have summoned you here because I require your aid in order to find the book. "

Izael says as another pair of doors open on the opposite side of the room from where you entered.

As you look through the doors, you see a grand hall made of crystal with an intricate crystal throne at the end of it. The hall appears to be a giant walkway that's floating over an abyss with giant crystal pillars standing in rows on either side of the walkway going all the way down. Izael then politely motions for you to enter the throne room.

" Go ahead, mortal. After you. "

You begin to walk down the hall towards the throne with Mimi following behind you and as you do so, you notice a large blue orb floating over the throne and a plethora of smaller crystal orbs scattered around the room floating over the abyss on both sides of the walkway. Within each of these smaller orbs, you can see horrible things happening to people. You witness murder, rape, torture, and all of the worst injustices that you could possibly imagine all happening simultaneously. Thinking of Mimi, you immediately look back, concerned that she might see something awful. However, when you look at her, you see that she's fallen fast asleep in Aatu's arms as he's walking with Noeh behind you. Aatu looks back at you and speaks to you calmly.

" The blessing that my sister gave this child protects her from more than just physical harm. There's no need to worry about her witnessing things that may do her harm psychologically. "

You give Aatu a smile of gratitude and sigh in relief as you turn your attention back to Izael's throne room. Once you and Izael reach his throne at the end of the walkway, he speaks to you.

" Behold, my Throne of Fate. From this throne, I observe all of the injustices that happen within this universe and delegate my angels to serve justice to the mortals that are in need of it. This throne shows whoever sits in it all of the injustices that they have ever faced, and upon sitting in this throne, I am able to see every transgression ever done against all mortals that are of this universe. This is because any injustice done against a mortal of this universe is equal to an injustice against myself. "

Izael then holds his hand out, politely gesturing for you to sit in the throne.

" Sit, mortal, and you may see all of the transgressions committed against you. The grand orb at the top of my throne room will show us the injustices that you have faced… including any transgression of theft. "

You turn your attention from the grand orb back to Izael and respond.

" You want me to use your throne to witness the moment that The Holy Omniverse Transcript was stolen? "

" Indeed. You are an Omniversal being that exists outside of our universe, and therefore I cannot use my throne to witness any transgression committed against you. You must be the one to use the throne in order for us to see the event. "

Izael tells you as you look back up at the grand orb above everybody.

" Alright, I'll do it. How do I use it? "

" Just relax yourself and allow the throne to merge with your mind. "

Izael says as you sit down on the throne, relaxing your body. You take a few deep breaths, and you begin to feel the throne prying into your subconscious.

After a brief moment of allowing the throne access to your subconscious and memories, all of your worst life experiences and traumas begin flooding into your head at once. Every single time in your life that you've been wronged by someone else starts playing out inside of your head simultaneously at an insane speed, and you begin to feel overwhelmed as you notice that the thoughts in your head are projecting into the grand orb above the throne. The Gods are all witnessing these events as they stand around you and you embarrassingly speak up to the Gods, asking a question.

" How do I control this thing? What do I have to do to project the book being stolen into the orb? "

" You must make the throne submit to you with an unyielding will to enforce justice upon those who have wronged you. Light a fire within yourself and have your soul burn with an unquenchable determination for those who have wronged you to atone for their actions. "

Izael replies, still staring at the orb.

You take a few more deep breaths and calm your mind as you focus on your emotions. You think about all of the people who have wronged you and you imagine them all getting what they deserve for it. Then, you begin to feel a warmth deep within your chest and the throne begins to glow blue as the events on the orb slow down until they eventually stop playing entirely. With the power of your mind, you then focus your thoughts on the book that was stolen from you.

How dare they steal from me while I'm unconscious and defenseless. That book was a gift and they took it from me. Did they even care that it belonged to me? Did they even think about how stealing it from me would make me feel? They had no right to take it from me. I need to find them and make them pay for what they did.

As you focus your thoughts on recovering the book, you begin to see the events after you hit the surface of the planet play out inside the orb.

You see your unconscious body laying inside the crater that you made in Veronica's garden and your body is steaming with heat from the atmosphere that was just burning around you before you landed as you hug the book to your chest. Then you witness a cloaked figure materialize out of the darkness over you and stare down at your unconscious body. They appear to be tall and masculine, so you can assume that the figure is a man of some sort, and the cloak they're wearing is black with parts of it gently blowing in the wind. The figure's face is shrouded in shadow under a hood, so you can't determine a skin color, but you can see that this figure has blue eyes.

" So? What do you guys think? Look like Sowzo to you? "

You ask the Gods as they all stare in bewilderment at the orb.

" No. That's no God… That's a mortal."

Izael says, amazed at what he's witnessing. Noeh chimes in after Izael, adding his input as though he sees something that Izael doesn't.

" That's not just any mortal, brother. That's another Omniversal being within our universe. It appears that they've been here unbeknownst to us this entire time… When could they have arrived here? Why didn't I know about it? "

You continue to watch the events inside the orb unfold. You see the figure reach out and telekinetically pull the book from your arms, unlock it, and open it. Pages begin quickly turning inside the book as if the wind is blowing them and the figure's eyes turn from blue to a bright green. Then immediately afterwards, you can see Mimi hiding in a nearby bush staring up in fear at this figure. The figure then turns its head towards Mimi, notices her, and disappears into the darkness, taking the book with them. Izael speaks up after witnessing this.

" Very interesting… It appears that they didn't harm the child because they knew that if they had done so, then I would've seen it from my throne and it would've put their possession of the book in jeopardy. The question is, how could they have known about the nature of my throne? "

Noeh chimes in again.

" The real question is, brother, how could that mortal have been powerful enough to use our father's book? It requires an incredible amount of power to simply unlock it, and an entire measure of power beyond that to use it. That's the reason why we assumed that a God was in possession of the book in the first place. This mortal who has possession of The Holy Omniverse Transcript, whoever they may be, could very well be a bigger threat to this universe than Nahzgor and his army. "

" It is important to remember, my brothers, that these events could very well be an illusion created by the wielder of the book to throw us off of their trail. Izael's throne has a universal level of power and whoever wields our father's book has an Omniversal level of power. The possibility of this being another facade is very likely given the current circumstances. "

Aatu says as he diverts his attention down from the orb to you and the other Gods.

" It's not a lie! That's him, Star Faller! That's the blanket man that I saw! "

Mimi shouts as she looks up into the orb in bewilderment. Aatu and the other Gods look at each other with surprise as they realize Mimi is awake in Aatu's arms.

" It is possible that the book could be manipulating the child's memories as well. "

Izael says as he looks at Mimi, rubbing his chin as he thinks thoroughly about the possibilities.

" No. "

Noeh says to Izael.

" The child received our sister's blessing, remember? There is no being in this universe, mortal or immortal, that can influence her besides Faerah. "

You look at Izael with a look of satisfaction.

" It's settled then. Now we know what happened to the book. What's next? "

Izael answers you with a smirk on his face.

" Now it's time we tell the God of Domination. "
