Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 - An Attempted Peace Treaty with the Dacuian Wolf Tribe!

Third person POV

A bit later, Basilio and his group arrived at the Alidz Hills, which were hilly and full of mines containing silver and iron. At that time of day, the weather was good and a bit cloudy. Seeing the hills, Basilio was enamored, and Artem, too.

 "These are good…"

"These mines are rich in resources, sir."

 "Ah, okay."

 "Looks nice here…" Chivo commented.

But then, before they could enter the area, Aldert came back from scouring the area and said, "Everyone, there were some wolves from the Dacuian Wolf Tribe! We must be careful about them." Basilio and the others were alerted by it, and Basilio asked, "The Dacuian Tribe?"

"Who are those people?" Chivo asked as well.

"Yes, it is a tribe of black and dark grey wolves," replied Artem back briefly. "That tribe of wolves had metallic hand claws and was armed with sniper rifles."

 "Wha…? That's a bit technologically advanced."

"Yes, they have been for a long time."

 "Okay, where are they?"

"Just off this area right there."

Aldert then pointed at a forested area just southeast of their location.

Basilio looked at it, and Aldert was right. There were small camps of Dacuian wolves camping around while guarding their posts. Seeing that, Basilio asked Artem and the others if they have any history with that wolf tribe.

"Yes, like with other races," a Vamzom soldier responded, "we had a hostile history with them, and we regretted killing most of their soldiers and people."

"Oh, okay…" Basilio understood their regrets before going to think about it, "…well, we can have a peace treaty with them to make things peaceful for both sides."

"Sure, that would be plausible, sir," replied Artem back. "Let's do that first so we can have a safe passage in this area."

And so, the Vamzoms agreed with Basilio's suggestion, and all of them withdrew from their expedition, planning to go to the Dacuian Wolf Tribe with a peace treaty tomorrow morning. And later in the evening, at the dining room, while he and the other Vamzoms in his circle are eating dinner, Helena asked Basilio how the expedition to the hills was. "We called off because there were some wolves from a tribe called the Dacuian Wolf Tribe," replied Basilio while eating. "You guys had a bad history with them, right?"

Helena was surprised but admitted that it was, remembering the times when Ruslan launched several attacks on that wolf tribe back when he was still alive.

"Now, tomorrow morning," Basilio said to her and the others, "we'll have a peace treaty with them."

"Oh! That would be good, sir," Juhani replied with positive feedback.

"Yes, but there was a possibility that they could reject it."

 "Oh…"

Also, just this afternoon, the shipment of trade came to Ruslav, and Basilio and a handful of Vamzoms paid up the fee for it.

After dinner time and doing his night routine, Basilio was in his room watching funny videos on his laptop to lighten up his mood after a hard day. He knows that the act of a peace treaty with the Dacuian Wolf Tribe would be hard, given their bad history with the Vamzoms. But Basilio was determined to do that, regardless of the results.

And so, the next morning came, and Basilio and his Vamzom group of 10 came onto the territory of the Dacuian Wolf Tribe by helicopter, much to the shock of these armed wolves. "What is this?" one of them asked in shock.

 "Vamzoms!" another shouted.

But Basilio remained calm at this point while Chivo was unsure of it.

Chivo had stayed in Ruslav last night because he feared that the Lenz Party might go after him.
