Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 : Myra

Thoughts rummaged though Lucian's mind, only if they were overpowered he wasn't sure someone could live in a place like this.

The night he arrived here apart from the cerberian panthers he couldn't sense any other life from, they all vanished as if they never existed in the first place.

But after his hundred percent serious punch did nothing to the three headed panther and he nearly died but somehow eraced all the panthers he started feeling a myriad of auras surrounding his weakened body.

That was until he passed out from lack of blood yet many thoughts haunted him, how did he survive those monstrosities because other weaker creatures wouldn't emerge from their hiding places.

Did something divine come to save him or was it a hidden ability of his mysterious existence, " What are you dazing about for come have a seat " she said clearing a chair for him to sit.

" Thanks " he said taking the sit, " Why don't creatures attack you house " he asked, " It's basically located at the edge of a dense jungle brimming with diverse races of monstrosities ".

" But they just look form afar and don't dare to step an inch closer ", the girl chuckled softly, " Well we have three powerful summons, that's all you need to know " she said.

" Well forget that, what's your name? " She asked looking at him with puppy eyes, " Huh!, Name?, What's your's " he redirected, " Fine I will tell you mine first " she sighed, " It's Myra ".

" Azen or Lucian, your choice " he said, " Azen, what does that mean " she asked intriguingly, " The one who Conquers or The Conquer " he subconsciously said.

An scene flashed through his mind, looking like a distant memory his mind quaked as he envisioned an army of unknown being stretching nearly infinitely across the landscape.

They all stood in square like formations, in order and absolute oneness, he gazed down from a mountain towards a blurry settlement and was about to say something when a hand touched his shoulder.

He turned to face the blurry person which then when cleared it was Myra, " What happened to you?, is it a headache? " She asked in genuine concern.

" It's nothing, just something I remember occasionally " he said shoving the question aside, " Myra, come help mom dish out breakfast " a little boy of around six years said emerging from the dining room.

One could stay in the parlour and look at the relatively small dining room with a it's own dining table and chairs, the boy gazed at Lucian like a piece of meat as he cautiously approached his sister.

" Ohh Vincent don't worry it's Lucian, he doesn't bite " she said to her brother who still maintained some distance, " Tell mom I will be right there " she said dismissing her brother.

As he went away Myra said, " I will be right back ", " Please get my clock, am running out of time " he stressed and she responded with a smile walking away.

For so reason he felt uncomfortable, that would have been because of his antisocial nature but it felt like something more.

From the auras he was sensing, these people were very powerful, * Sigh *, a little expedition he hurriedly decided was about to land him into a deep mess, dragging his dark blue hair he sighed again.

This was just the first, if he returned early and undetected, he would plot another escape and that would be finally, all he needed was time and meticulous scheming.

He couldn't comprehend his future if he escaped but his intuitions told him it was for the best, " You're really a thinker " a voice dragged him away from his thoughts.

It was Myra's voice, neither was it her brother's Vincent but it belonged to a pale yet beautiful woman, looking beyond her were Myra and Vincent sitting at the dining table each with a wooden bowl and spoon.

There were four bowls on the table so his guess was that a bowl was dished out for him, now he couldn't refuse, " Come join us " the alluring motherly voice said again.

While thinking of rejection his tummy grumbled and he remembered he hadn't had a good meal since the morning of the previous day.

He shyly stood and walked towards the table before taking a sit, " Thank you, ma " he embarrassingly said, " Don't be so red, don't your mother take you out to eat " Myra's mother said taking a sit and passing him a bowl.

" I don't have parents " he said earning a sympathetic look from Myra and her mother, " How old were you when she passed " Myra's mother asked, " I don't know… but as long as I have lived in this world I have never met my mom " he said.

" What about your father " Myra asked, " I would call him a father nor a guardian but I would just say someone who provides me shelter, food, clothing and a daily amount of hardwork and pain " he said taking a spoon of the hot pot.

" Well I wanted to ask of your parents after you were dragged here at death's door, literally, your upper body was connected to your lower body by a few threads of flesh, blood and viscera " Myra added earning an annoyed look from her mother.

" Sorry ma " she replied after noticing.

" Are you by chance a chosen by the church " Myra's mother asked, " I've never been to anywhere other than the house I live in " He responded while all his attention was full drawn to the mind boggling meal he was eating.

If he was attentive he would have noticed a confused expression on Myra's mother's face, " So you are a prodigy of light? " She asked yet again to which he replied, " I knoweth not ".

They discussed on a few things about Lucian and then diverted to the dangers of the forest at the time he came, soon they were finished.

" Thanks for the meal ma, I hope I can return the favor some day " he said grateful for their kindness.

" Worry not child, you need not repay the favour, it was our pleasure to help and here's your watch, I see it's very important to you " she said handing his small circular device with a chain attached to it.

They also gave a leather tunic and a sleeveless flowing cloak with a hood attached to it, for once in his miserable life he felt warm.

He sprinted into the dense and dark jungle barefooted and equipped with only two kunais out of the remaining six, well as far as he didn't battle any creature it was okay.

Basically he had no map of direction to where he was going but to clarify that the climbed to the top of a huge tree and looked around.

To the west was the hill Myra's family lived on and to the south was where his black walled prison was situated, then his journey to the South began.

Slowly yet steadily fate was shaping his gruesome path.
