Theron felt his blood boil when he heard this. He wasn't feeling excited, but his blood reacted all on its own as though these words were the very same sort it had been waiting to hear its entire life.
As though something had triggered in him, his heart rate accelerated and his body seemed to thrum like an engine, pulsing red heat clawing at his throat as though a dragon's breath urging him to roar to the skies.
But he didn't.
"How interesting…" the old man said slowly, observing Theron. "Your body really is peculiar… you've reached a state that I've only read about in books… your bloodline…"
It seemed like the old man was going to say more, but then he just smiled and looked at Theron with a light expression.
"How about it, kid? You help me, and maybe I'll tell you a few things."
"Help you how?"
