I rushed out to see Dream frozen in place, he was trembling
"Hey, are you okay?"
I pulled him to me, he turned slowly to face me
"I don't feel so good"
"Let's get you back home"
"No, he's going to follow us" he whispered
"What?"
Why would Faelan follow us?
"Will you and wait in the back for me?"
"N-no, what if he tries some bullshit with you?"
He held my hands like his life depended on it. The woodland elf was pale as a sheet of paper and was acting very strange.
I gently pushed him behind me and faced my ex-lover
"Good morning...Mr Faelan"
The dark elf looked uneasy. He had gotten a bit gaunt since the last time I saw him. His silvery hair had lost its shine too. Too sum it all up, he didn't look good
"Hmm, good morning"
The flowers in his hands shimmered
Blue Bursting Spirit Flower.
"Is there anything I can help you with?"
He was glancing back and forth at Dream and I. He was acting very strange.
"...uh, well-"
The cafe's door dinged and cool sea breeze filled the area. Iun stepped in, his hand in his pocket and the other held a takeout package
"What's going on?"
I was about to respond when Faelan spoke up
"Well, there's a little bit of a problem"
I looked at Iun and back at Faelan
"You two know each other?"
Iun nodded at me, "we're friends and he displays his work at my museum"
Okay what was going on? Was Faelan here to apologize and beg me to come back into his life? No way! Not happening!
"Look I don't know why you're here but you need to leave"
Faelan was looking past me again, Dream.
"Hey! I'm right in front of you!"
He was taken aback by my sudden outburst, he cleared his throat and shook his head before leaving.
He might be all thin and shit but he's still an asshole!
I rolled my eyes and locked the door. Dream collapsed unto his chair, breathing like he had been deprived of air
"Dream, are you alright?"
He didn't respond, he was just panting and holding unto the chair paralyzed with fear
"Hmm that's strange"
Iun dropped the package with him and sat next to Dream
"Your friend seems scared of Faelan"
The aqua elf placed a palm on Dream's forehead, his pantings slowed to his normal breathing pace and his tense body was more relaxed. I guided his head to my lap, letting him drift off to sleep
"There we go"
"..."
"Why was he here anyway?"
"Well he told me his ex-lover worked here and he wanted to apologize and try and get back together that kind of stuff"
Iun's eyes were trained on Dream, well where Dream lay.
So I was right!
"It's a good thing he left"
"Hm, why's that?"
"I don't plan on taking that asshole back"
Iun looked at me funny
"What?" I raised my eyebrows at him
"Faelan's ex-lover is a man"
