Ryoga finds himself in an ethereal land, beams of light shot through shining on the supposedly destroyed Koi rod.
"Why is this here?" he questioned till an answer crossed his mind
"Another chance..." A voice echoed with no real point of origin
"Huh? who's there!"
"Boy! hear me. the god of the koi speaks to you!" an ethereal voice boomed directly from the divinely wrapped Fishing rod before him.
"The rod?!"
"Yes, it holds a fraction of my power and allows me to speak to you oh, special one!" Ryoga could feel a presence encapsulate him, and the rod
"What is it?"
"You wondered why you are here didn't you?"
"Yes I don't think I belong here."
"Wrong!"
"What?"
"The koi rod chose you for a rare, Second chance..."
"But to what?"
"To Akane's heart."
"I refuse to force her love for my self! She should choose me!"
"Naïve, Ryoga. The rod does not make love that isn't already there!"
"But what about Akari!?"
"The rod will help you decide!"
"Then if i use it on Akane"
"If it works then it was true love!"
"then i shall take the risk!"
"But... what if it is yes?"
"Boy... love is deeper than any fear of the future you have. you will know your choice when the time comes"
"But-"
"But what? do you not love her!"
"Alright!"
"Are you ready to accept this chance?"
"I will!"
-
A fiery doorway appeared behind Ryoga and when he walked through he was outside a shop.
"Hello?"
"Yes?"
"Could you help me get somewhere?"
Ringo thought about it for a moment.
"Of course I'll help! where to?"
-Tendo household-
Ringo sat on the wall to watch the chaos.
Ryoga saw Akane angrily training "It must've been Ranma's doing. don't worry Akane I'll be better than he ever will be!" He cast the rod toward her but his aim faltered when he thought of Akari. "She is my girlfriend and I'm risking it?!" he closed his eyes in confliction
"Boy... soon the rod will help you make the choice of your future. Trust it."
Ryoga snapped out of the ethereal plane deciding to leave fate to decide. "Akane or Akari!"
*smack*
*pop*
A pit filled his stomach but he was still running around the corner arms spread for his future. a smaller, shorter body embraced him in his arms they felt cold and gross. like being held in such a way was disgusting. Ryoga peeked from his closed eye
A wave of disgust shocked through him, petrifying the lost boy.
"Koi God you tricked me!"
"I Did no such thing Boy."
"then why is this demon in my arms!"
"Fate decided for you. Good bye, Ryoga."
"Wait!" The stars in the ethereal plane vanished as the black void split in half.
"Eh? Hey P-Chan. why did you have this?" Ranma lifted the koi rod up
"It took hold of my mind and manipulated me!"
"Then you don't mind if I..." Ranma, that devil, lifted the magical rod above his knees ready to split it.
Ryoga closed his eyes "fate decided for me... I must let her go." an image of Ranma marrying Akane crossed his mind but suddenly another image passed by him. Ranma forcing Akane to work tirelessly before raising a striking hand "No! Ranma! Stoooop!" he swiped his belt at the visage of Ranma making it disappear.
Ryoga took Akane into his arms "Ryoga!" Akane's voice distorted into Ranma's as Ryoga opens his eyes. Ranma caught the sucker from the rod between his fingers but was caught by Ryoga's embrace. "Watch where you swing that!"
"Ranma! How dare you treat Akane terribly!" He gripped the fishing rod tightly mistaking it for his umbrella.
He swung wildly His rage boost guiding his strength even further as he jabbed Ranma with the edge of the fishing rod "That's it!" Ranma split the rod in half and stomped it
The Ethereal voice returned "Ryoga. this is your answer..."
Wind swept his hair as the voice vanishes.
"...Farewell Akane..." Ryoga turned and walked in a direction the wind blew "Thank you, koi god. my decision is clear now."
An image of Akari appeared in his mind as he walked off to find her.
"Is Ryoga going to be okay?"
"Dunno." Ranma walked to the house
"What about you Ringo?"
"It's just a stick." he walked away calmly, even though his flame showed his frustration.
"Bye then."
