Wishful thinking rarely survives reality. In this Bloodshed Battleground, Ethan knew his talent had already been exposed, so he stopped bothering to hide it. He darted through the crowd with blistering speed, slashing once per player before moving on. The randomly assembled mob of players had no coordination at all, degenerating into utter chaos, unable to launch any meaningful counterattack. Some of their hits didn't even outpace the healing from Ethan's Nether Orb.
"Everyone, spread out! Don't clump together! Shieldbearers, block his path! Mages and Archers, fall back and create distance!" Seeing the disarray, Sovereign had no choice but to step up and take command. If things continued this way, the entire group would be wiped before they could even dream of taking Ethan down.
Sovereign could be a bit slow on the uptake sometimes, but he's still the leader of a guild numbering in the tens of thousands—basic battlefield command is well within his abilities.
