The dead soldiers had cuts on their bodies that a cutting weapon might have caused. The system shown as such, they bled out from the injuries.
"There is no blood under them" I pointed out, barely enough blood to say they got milled there.
"What do you mean?" Violet asked.
"Oh, just something I read on my original world," I continued inspecting the bodies. "Usually, when investigating the case, when there was little blood where you find a body it means it got moved"
"So, someone hid them so no one notices them," She took a few steps away from the bodies "Smart. And it must have been not so long ago"
"Why?"
"Guards usually rotate during the night, right? They need to check on each other," Violet continued, "At least, that is what I have seen guards of the different factions do on their garrisons. If they haven't noticed some of their own missing… then this was extremely recent, and they smell as such"
"You just wanted to sound smarter but got it out through your nose, right?"
