Thalina blinked in surprise before a slow smile tugged at her lips. He was adorable.
The boy shifted on his feet, glancing sideways before adding, "My mother told me to give it to you."
Curious, Thalina followed his gaze, her eyes landing on a regal-looking woman standing a few feet away.
The boy's mother had smooth purple skin, her features sharp yet elegant, and she was watching them with an amused smile.
Thalina returned the expression, warmth blooming in her chest, before turning back to the boy. She reached out, gently taking the flower from his tiny hands. "That's so sweet. Thank you."
He grinned, clearly pleased with himself, and before he could react, Thalina reached out and playfully ruffled his hair.
His soft pink locks flopped over his forehead, and he let out a small laugh, squinting up at her with bright, adoring eyes.
Then, with a sudden burst of confidence, he puffed out his chest. "When I grow up, I hope to become your mate!"
Thalina nearly choked.
