Morana's Point Of View
The elevator descended smoothly, the soft hum of its mechanics the only sound accompanying me. As the doors slid open, the cool evening air greeted me, carrying with it the distant murmur of city life.
Nancy stood by the curb, her silhouette illuminated by the soft glow of the streetlights, the car idling beside her. She tapped her foot lightly, arms crossed, exuding an air of impatience.
As I approached, she arched an eyebrow, her lips curving into a smirk. "So," she began, her tone teasing yet curious, "how did your discussion with Mr. Nicholas?"
I offered a small nod, keeping my expression neutral. "It was fine," I replied succinctly. "The press preview is tomorrow. We need to be prepared."
Nancy's eyes sparkled with mischief as she opened the car door for me. "Prepared? Darling, we're always prepared."
