Aurelia and the boy were deep inside the market that evening when he suddenly turned around, walking backward as he raised a questioning brow.
"Tell me your name, Stranger."
She didn't bother glancing in his direction before refusing coldly.
"No."
He chuckled and turned away from the road again, walking alongside her as he mumbled and looked around.
"Well, I'm Rowan and I'm quite curious as to where we're going. I know more than anyone this isn't the way to anyone who sells spices. So where are you taking me?"
She didn't respond and continued walking until she suddenly stopped in the middle of an open field.
Eyes pinned to the ground with intense concentration, she paced around for a little bit before heading toward the bushes.
Rowan stood in place, watching her with confusion.
"I know this is probably too late to ask, but uh… by any chance, you're not retarded, right? Though, judging by the situation, the answer seems obvious."
