He was the one who had used his magic and did that trick with the knife. As they reached the spot, Krivan quickly stepped away from Damon and secretly hurt his own hand, making blood ooze out.
Silas also came there with Theron. And upon seeing Silas, Krivan quickly ran to him.
"Silas, because of you I helped him, but now he's hurting me and accusing me. Saying it was me who cast black magic on that little kid. Do you think I could do something like that? You know me, Silas, don't you?"
Silas noticed Krivan's hand was bleeding. And when Krivan had saved Theron, Silas believed that it couldn't have been Krivan who cast the black magic on Velric—because if he had cast it, he wouldn't have been able to heal it.
