Mu Can slowly opened his eyes, but instead of the familiar Purple Cloud, two furry little faces came into view.
It turned out to be two monkeys looking at him with concern.
Gently smacking his lips, Mu Can detected a rich fragrance of wine in his mouth. Looking at the two monkeys holding gourds in front of him, it was quite confusing.
"They mean no harm," Purple Cloud's voice came through.
Not knowing why he was here, but hearing Purple Cloud's voice, Mu Can felt settled. With Purple Cloud there, his safety was not a concern.
"What happened just now? How long was I unconscious?" Mu Can asked.
He wanted to know why he ended up here.
"It wasn't long; these monkeys found you as soon as you passed out and brought you here. They meant no harm and even gave you their precious Monkey Wine," Purple Cloud explained.
Mu Can sniffed the aromatic Monkey Wine in the air; this was the finest wine he had ever smelled.
