Chapter 80 - Chapter 80: Assassination Formation

"I would never force you to do something against your will."

Jiraiya leaned in and placed a light kiss on Tsunade's lips as he spoke.

Tsunade gave a slight nod, then stood and walked into the bathroom to prepare a bath for him.

Jiraiya, in truth, thoroughly enjoyed this peaceful lifestyle they now shared. Though Tsunade had a fiery temper in the past, she was exceptionally gentle with him.

"The water's ready. You can come in now."

Tsunade's voice called from the bathroom not long after.

Jiraiya stepped into the bathroom, where a wooden tub was already filled with warm water. Tsunade had even sprinkled flower petals on the surface, filling the air with a delicate fragrance.

"You've scattered so many petals... are you planning to join me?" Jiraiya teased with a grin.

"Don't flatter yourself," Tsunade replied, her face flushing. "You're lucky I'm willing to scrub your back today."

Jiraiya shrugged off his clothes right in front of her.

Tsunade instinctively covered her eyes with her hands, but her fingers betrayed her as they parted slightly, giving her a peek at the majestic "mountain peaks" before her.

After undressing, Jiraiya formed hand seals and slammed his palms onto the ground. A fiery glow erupted, encasing the bathroom in a barrier of light.

The barrier wasn't just for show. It was designed to block sensory techniques, ensuring that if anyone attempted to spy on the bathroom, their jutsu would trigger the barrier's defense mechanism.

Jiraiya smirked, his intentions clear. If he was going to get a little handsy with Tsunade, he needed to ensure privacy.

"You're afraid of being spied on? Funny, coming from the biggest peeping tom in the village," Tsunade quipped, recalling Jiraiya's notorious antics.

"I'm not worried about someone watching me," Jiraiya shot back. "I'm just making sure you can focus on scrubbing my back without distractions."

He carefully avoided addressing his past escapades—after all, the less said about them, the better. Without further ado, he stepped into the tub.

"Ah, lighter pressure... yeah, just like that. Perfect," Jiraiya sighed in bliss as Tsunade scrubbed his back with care.

When the bath was finished, Jiraiya couldn't resist pulling Tsunade into his arms. It was a full hour later when they finally emerged, and only after Tsunade had repeatedly pleaded for mercy.

Satisfied, Jiraiya walked her around the village for a while before escorting her back to the Senju Clan's compound.

...

The next morning, Jiraiya woke up and immediately activated the system.

"Sign-in successful. You've received the S-rank ninjutsu: Shun-Goku Shadow Assassination Formation," the system announced.

"Explain the technique in detail," Jiraiya said, unfazed. By now, he was used to the extraordinary rewards the system provided. There was never a time when it disappointed him.

"The Shun-Goku Shadow Assassination Formation requires the user to channel chakra through a compatible weapon to activate. Injecting chakra into a blade will summon seven shadow clones, each armed with an energy-based replica of the original weapon. The clones follow the user's commands and execute high-speed attacks on the target."

"However, the technique places immense strain on the body. Given the user's current physical condition, it can only be used twice in a single day without causing harm. Furthermore, there must be an eight-hour gap between uses to avoid overexertion."

Satisfied with the explanation, Jiraiya extracted the information about the technique directly from the system and grabbed the Lightning Flame Blade. Forming hand seals, he activated the jutsu.

"Shun-Goku Shadow Assassination Formation!"

Seven shadow clones instantly materialized in front of him, each holding a replica of the Lightning Flame Blade. These replicas, though not physical, radiated with intense lightning energy, mirroring the real blade.

As Jiraiya channeled lightning chakra into his blade, the clones' weapons emitted a dazzling electric glow. A wave of exhaustion hit him immediately. The technique didn't just drain chakra; it also consumed a significant amount of stamina—more than even his most intense "battles" with Tsunade.

Jiraiya realized that the jutsu was extraordinarily taxing. If a ninja of lesser physical endurance attempted it, they would likely collapse—or worse, die—from the strain.

Curious about its combat potential, Jiraiya headed to the training grounds and ordered one of the shadow clones to attack him.

The clone obeyed without hesitation, becoming a blur as it lunged at him with breathtaking speed. Jiraiya activated his keen perceptive ability, barely managing to follow the clone's movement. He countered with his blade.

"Clang!"

The clash sent Jiraiya skidding back several steps, his arm slightly numb from the force. The shadow clone, having completed its attack, vanished in a puff of smoke.

Jiraiya dispersed the remaining clones, his mind racing. The Shun-Goku Shadow Assassination Formation was even more powerful than he had anticipated. It could easily eliminate a Jōnin, and even an elite Jōnin would struggle to survive against the combined assault of seven clones.

He made a mental note to test its full power later—perhaps on Gamabunta in Mount Myōboku.

...

Meanwhile, back in Mount Myōboku,

Gamabunta shivered inexplicably. He glanced at a newly healed scar on his arm before grabbing his massive blade and slashing it across his body again.

"Why would you reopen your wounds?" Gamahiro asked, baffled.

"A real man wears his scars proudly!" Gamabunta replied. "I feel more secure this way. Better to hurt myself than to let Jiraiya show up and do it for me."

...

As Jiraiya left the training grounds, he spotted Tsunade approaching with breakfast.

"You just returned from an intense training session at Mount Myōboku. Take it easy for a few days. Don't overdo it," Tsunade said, her tone full of concern.

"Do you really think my body is that fragile?" Jiraiya smirked. "After yesterday in the bathroom, you should know better."

Tsunade's cheeks flushed as she lowered her head, her mind flashing back to the previous night. There was no denying Jiraiya's strength, though she wished he wouldn't flaunt it so shamelessly.
