Fours days had passed since Heather had faced the Valentine scandal but Heather and Marcus' relationship seemed to be at some balance , Though things had changed quite a lot , Marcus reduced his visits to Heather ,he really called her , the good mornings. the goodnights and he sweet words all reduced drastically to a point he would call her Hey when he forgot her name . he didn't stop their , he constantly updated his status with unfriendly memes that a man in a relationship wouldn't be posting . they became more intense and when she asked about it , he easily brushed it off. however what took more of Heather's attention was the familiar face he was constantly posting . As all this went on Heather kept her cool without stopping him from doing what he wanted ,but slowly by slowly she was dying inside , her heart pulse lept on reducing , she constantly lost her weight with no need to exercise . there were so many voices in her head that made her feel pathetic the situation worsened when she tried to bring up the girl that Marcus was constantly posting . Marcus didn't take it well

By now Marcus had raised his voice to her , before she could say anything there was a knock at the door , on opening she found a brown envelope, she picked it out as she looked around to see if the sender was still around. The envelope was directed to her , she took it in and opened it on the kitchen counter. Her heart sunk the more when she saw printed pictures of Marcus and the same girl naked . She slowly put them back in the envelope,picked up her phone and made up an excuse that her father wanted to see her . This gave Marcus a chance to leave . As soon as Marcus had left , Heather received a phone call on her father's number hoping to talk to him ,she heard a female voice from the recipient side . Confused and sad the situation became worse. The other person requested her to come by the hospital as fast as she could and that the matter concerned her father
WHAT!!!!!! Heather screamed as she grabbed her keys and jacket as she rushed out . As she was in a cab , she felt a deep sit burden with in her stomach. It kept on twisting making rumbling noises as though a war had broken out in there . Her mind was occupied with her new work assignment which was to be handed in to her work mates , Marcus 's scandal now her dad was in the hospital remembering that she murmured to herself. Dad ..... Dad needs me ..... She paid the cab and rushed into the hospital. She was taken in by a female nurse who requested her to wait outside the operation room , she sat on the cold seats praying that the situation would be lightened up .
In Heather's family ,they were two children and single parented as they had lost their mother sometime back . It had been something like eight years that had past but their father tried to still up hold the memory of their mother even as it seemed heard. It wasn't the first time that they were in such a situation but their father was the strong hold that kept them going. Hearing about his heart attack, Heather couldn't help but think of the possibility that this could be his end . This kept her pacing in the hospital as she waited outside the emergency room, her movements were stopped when an older woman can go her followed by her young brother.
The older woman narrated to her what happened with tears flowing in her eyes. Heather comforted her with her young brother. A few moments later , a doctor walked through the emergency door all their fingers were crossed hoping for only good news .
Are you the family members of the gentlemen inside . The doctor asked
Yes , they all confirmed .
Well the operation was successful and as we speak he is resting.though I would advice you not to let him engage in any activity that might stress him out but for now let him rest and I propose that he may stay in the hospital for a few days under observation.
There faces changed when they heard that because they knew that their father never liked to be in the hospital for long Heather asked the doctor if there was a way if letting him be treated from home . The doctor didn't oppose them as long his patient was receiving the treatment and care he needed and he just requested them to get him a nurse . The intensity that was in the air earlier was now reduced Heather walked to her brother who was from a phone call that seemed to occupy his mind .
