It was as if a bomb had exploded in the room.
Arin asked, "What did you say?"
Zikar replied, "I received a missive…."
"No!" Arin cut him in between his speech, "name of the Inquisitor!"
"Roy—The Sword of Light!" Zikar squinted his eyes. "Why, have you heard of them before?"
"Yes, I mean…." Arin suddenly could not; what would he reply?
However, Ragna was quick to rescue, "We had heard the name in the village!"
"Are you sure!" Zikar pressed on.
Arin knew Zikar was not as smart as he used to project. Else he would not buy Arin's bluff every time they had a meeting in this room.
He could not let the opportunity Ragna had gifted him with her timely intervention.
He replied, "Yes, I had heard the Sister Hayla talking about Roy the servant…. I mean, follower of Malkurt, with her followers!"
