She positioned herself behind Noah and placed her hand on his shoulders, making him jolt.
"I'll take her for the night. Any objections?"
"Eh?!" Noah exclaimed.
The other three looked at her in surprise but quickly agreed anyway.
"Well, normally I wouldn't have an issue, but…" Hunter hesitated. "I'm not too thrilled about YOU being the one to take care of the young lady."
"What? I won't eat her, unlike the other one!" Vera retorted, motioning toward Arachnea with her chin. "Besides, the boss said I'd be the one to handle her, so just shut up."
"Well then, since I was the one looking after her up until now, you won't mind if I take her for the night, right?" Zev interjected, raising his hand.
"Shut it! I said I'd take care of her!"
"Well, aren't you persistent... Anyway," Zev stood up. "I was planning to accompany Hunter on his night hunt, so it doesn't matter."
