Chapter 42 - CHAPTER 42: The Being Beyond the Flames

The cosmic flames roared, splitting apart like the jaws of an ancient beast. The doorway trembled, releasing a pressure so overwhelming that the very space around it cracked and distorted.

A figure emerged.

At first, it was nothing but a silhouette, standing against the burning void. Then, it stepped forward.

The Arrival of the Unknown

The warriors instinctively tensed. This presence was unlike anything they had ever faced. It was neither god nor mortal—it was something beyond classification.

The figure's form shifted, its very existence unstable. One moment, it resembled a man cloaked in flowing darkness; the next, it flickered into a mass of shifting energy, then a towering celestial entity with countless eyes.

Finally, it settled.

A tall, regal being now stood before them. Its body was wrapped in cosmic threads, woven from the very fabric of reality. Its face was obscured, hidden behind a veil of swirling stardust. But its eyes—if they could even be called that—pierced through the void like collapsing stars.

Then, it spoke.

"You have crossed the threshold. Few reach this place. Even fewer survive it."

Its voice was not a sound—it was a command, a force that reverberated within the soul.

Infinity God took a step forward, unshaken. "Who are you?"

The being let out a soft chuckle, like the shifting of galaxies.

"Names are meaningless here. But for your understanding, you may call me… The Architect."

The Architect's Challenge

The warriors exchanged glances. The Architect? The title alone sent chills down their spines.

Galaxy God narrowed his eyes. "Why are you here? What is this place?"

The Architect tilted its head slightly. "You stand in the core of the Infinity Realm. A place beyond time, beyond gods… beyond fate itself."

Its eyes gleamed. "And now, you face me."

Shadow Fang exhaled sharply. "So, you're an enemy."

The Architect laughed. "Enemy? No. I am merely… a test."

The space around them shifted violently. The ground shattered, revealing an endless abyss beneath them. The sky split open, exposing swirling realities stacked upon each other like reflections in broken glass.

"Only those who withstand the Truth of Creation may proceed."

The Architect raised a single hand.

The entire Infinity Realm trembled.

The Battle Begins

A wave of golden energy erupted from The Architect's fingertips. The warriors barely had time to react before the entire dimension collapsed inward.

Infinity God thrust his hand forward, summoning divine energy to counter the attack, but his power barely held against the force.

Galaxy God gritted his teeth, his celestial form flickering under the pressure. "This is beyond anything we've fought before!"

Aurora Yoichi smirked, his golden eyes burning. "Finally… something interesting."

The Architect lowered its hand. The energy stopped—but the warriors knew this was only the beginning.

"Come," The Architect said, voice filled with amusement. "Show me that you are more than meaningless."
