Layla was serving the lunch, and Jenny and Anna helped her to do so; she heard about the threat directed at James using Jenny, and Layla was aggrieved beyond words. The fact that Michael hadn't shared with her about the incident earlier and she had to hear from Jenny stunned her.
It had been a few days that she got habituated to the presence of Jenny, James, and little Dri in the mansion, and she must admit she enjoyed every bit of it other than the fact Michael lied to her that it was his idea to invite them over for a leisurely vacation in his mansion.
