It felt as though a water balloon had burst within him.
Instantly, a gush of fluid soaked him, leaving him startled and drenched, followed by a wave of pain so intense that he screamed involuntarily.
"The water's broken," the midwife announced, leaning in to check.
"Ah! Ahhhhhh!" Shen Xinghui cried, his body trembling uncontrollably.
His abdomen tightened involuntarily, forcing strength into his core and bringing brief relief from the pain.
However before he could cling to that reprieve, the midwife issued a dire warning.
"It's not fully open yet! You cannot push!"
"I can't stop it!" Shen Xinghui yelled, panic in his voice.
