BOOM!!
The Dark Witch kept shifting positions, her hands glowing with a powerful scarlet energy beam, which she unleashed in a devastating blast!
The golden protective barrier rippled under the immense impact, the shockwave distorting the air around it as if trying to tear through reality itself.
Glaring at the unwavering barrier, the Dark Witch's expression remained ice-cold. She refused to yield. Scarlet beams fired from her fingertips, striking from multiple directions.
Her movements were relentless, her attacks unceasing. A crimson tempest swirled around her, the gusts from her power making her flowing red attire ripple violently. She resembled something straight out of the darkest pages of history, a force of destruction given form.
Inside the dojo.
Pain twisted the faces of every sorcerer holding the barrier, their bodies sinking under the strain, but their will refused to break.
They couldn't surrender.
If they did, it would mean the end of Kamar-Taj.
BOOM!!
The next second, another concentrated scarlet blast struck the golden shield, and a thin crack started forming, spiderwebbing outward.
The barrier trembled violently, sending out chaotic ripples from each point of impact.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
"This isn't good!!" Wong's stomach twisted with dread. "Stephen, do something now! The barrier is failing!"
BANG! BANG!
The fractures widened, and the defensive formation grew unstable.
If they didn't retreat soon, they would die where they stood.
The Dark Witch wouldn't show them mercy.
She would kill without hesitation.
She would take everything she wanted.
"Finn! Wanda! Get inside the main hall! You won't last out here!"
Stephen Strange's voice was firm and urgent. His face was set in stone, his mind racing.
He knew the barrier wouldn't last much longer.
Stopping the Dark Witch by conventional means?
Impossible.
The best move now was to ensure Finn, Wanda, and the others got out first.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The cracks in the shield deepened, spreading like veins of shattered glass, branching outward with terrifying speed.
CRACK!
Then, like an egg dropped onto the pavement, the golden barrier shattered in an instant, dissolving into shimmering fragments.
The protective shield was gone.
With no resistance left, the Dark Witch surged forward, descending into the dojo's open air, her aura a storm of unrestrained power. She flicked her wrist, sending another scarlet beam hurtling towards the sorcerers.
A cold, twisted smile graced her lips as she gathered more energy into her hands.
To her, these so-called defenses were as thin as paper.
They never stood a chance.
BOOM!
A devastating scarlet explosion cratered the ground, sending dirt and debris flying in all directions. The impact wave sent sorcerers sprawling, unconscious before they even hit the floor.
Then, a swirling wind carried a dense black mist, creeping forward like an unstoppable tide.
Thunder rumbled through the sky, the atmosphere thick with chaos magic. It coiled around them, disorienting their senses, warping reality itself.
"Disgusting!"
Wanda's face darkened. Her hands moved instinctively, summoning a vast sphere of scarlet energy, erecting a protective barrier around the remaining sorcerers.
She had to hold the line.
She had to stop this doppelgänger.
If she didn't act now, the consequences would be catastrophic.
Above them, the sky churned with darkness.
"You can't stop me!"
The Dark Witch let out a ghostly laugh, her presence an abyss of cold malice.
She thrust both hands forward, and a surge of black energy roared downward.
BANG! BANG!
The collision shattered Wanda's barrier in an instant, disintegrating it like brittle glass.
The force behind it was overwhelming.
The sorcerers were thrown across the courtyard, bodies hitting the ground hard, blood dripping from fresh wounds.
Wanda staggered backward, nearly losing her footing.
Finn was there in a flash, catching her before she could fall.
"You're not her match," Finn said, steadying her. "Let me handle her."
He turned toward the Dark Witch, her form wreathed in swirling black mist.
He knew something the others didn't.
If he went alone, he might survive.
Because she wouldn't attack him.
At least, she hadn't the last time they had crossed paths.
Wanda, regaining her balance, reached for Finn. "Finn, don't! She's too dangerous!"
But he was already moving.
Wanda clenched her fists, watching him go, worry clear on her face.
She had felt it herself—this fake Wanda was stronger.
And she knew exactly what this Dark Witch wanted.
Finn.
"Wanda, stay here with America. We'll back him up."
Wong and Stephen exchanged a glance before rushing after Finn.
Alone, Finn stood no chance.
But they didn't have time to hesitate.
They had to fight.
Finn stepped forward, his boots landing on thin air as he ascended toward the stormy sky.
Thunder crackled around him, the force of the storm raging in his ears.
"Wanda, this fight is pointless. If this continues, Kamar-Taj will be nothing but ruins."
His voice was steady, his expression unreadable.
He knew she was powerful.
But if she continued like this…
She would burn everything to the ground.
The Dark Witch didn't respond.
She simply stared at him, unmoving.
Finn furrowed his brows. Something was off.
Then he felt it.
A presence behind him.
He turned—
SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!
Wong and Stephen appeared in bursts of golden light, their hands forming complex sigils.
Fiery chains shot forward, serpentine and relentless, aiming to bind the Dark Witch where she floated.
But before they could reach her—
A black mist surged, condensing into a ghastly white skull.
It shot toward Wong and Stephen with terrifying speed.
The swirling mist was like a black hole, lightning flickering inside its depths, distorting the very air around it.
The sheer force of the attack made their chests tighten, their faces twisting in pain.
WHOOSH!!
For a moment, space itself trembled.
Their golden chains corroded instantly, their magic rendered useless against the Chaos energy.
"Shit!" Stephen's eyes widened. He grabbed Wong and yanked him out of the way just as the dark force tore through where they had stood.
Behind them, the ancient temple walls shattered into dust.
Stephen let out a sharp breath.
If they had been even a second slower…
"That was too close," Wong muttered, shaken. "If that hit us, we'd be dead."
The Dark Witch's magic was far beyond anything they had encountered.
"Don't relax yet! More's coming!" Stephen's warning snapped Wong out of his daze.
They barely had time to react as another wave of black mist surged toward them.
They had underestimated her.
She was stronger than even their worst fears.
Wong's mind raced. "We need to open a portal—"
"On it!"
Stephen traced a circle in the air, golden light forming a glowing gateway.
The black mist surged forward.
Just as planned, it was sucked into the portal—
And then, in an instant, redirected.
The mist was flung back toward deep space, the destructive energy dispersing beyond the horizon.
"It worked!" Wong exhaled in relief.
But Stephen wasn't smiling.
Something wasn't right.
The Dark Witch was gone.
Then—
She appeared behind them.
Her eyes glowed with crimson light.
Her hands blazed with raw power.
And before either could react—
She struck.
The next second.
The Dark Witch vanished and reappeared behind them like a ghost, her icy gaze locking onto them as her hands crackled with the raw power of chaos magic.
The temperature around them plummeted instantly, an unnatural chill settling in the air, sharp and biting.
"This isn't good!"
Both Stephen Strange and Wong felt an overwhelming sense of danger. The sheer force of her presence made their skin crawl, an invisible weight pressing down on them like a vice.
Stephen turned abruptly, his expression shifting from shock to urgency. Instinctively, he raised his left hand, summoning the power of the Raggadorr's thunder and hurling it straight at her.
"Petty tricks."
The Dark Witch sneered, raising her palm, and with a mere flick of her wrist, she swatted Stephen away as if he were nothing more than an insect. The crackling thunder dissipated before it could even reach her, reduced to nothing in the face of her overwhelming might.
Wong's pupils constricted. He barely had time to react before he too was sent flying, his body crashing into the air alongside Stephen.
Halfway through their descent, a flicker of motion disrupted space itself.
Finn appeared.
In an instant, he caught both Stephen and Wong mid-air, stabilizing them before they could hit the ground. Landing with a controlled stance, he fixed his gaze on the Dark Witch and spoke in a low, measured tone.
"I suggest you stop this madness, or I won't hold back."
Despite his calm demeanor, Finn's mind was racing.
The Dark Witch's power was far beyond what he had anticipated. Even as he observed her just now, he hadn't been able to fully track her movements.
Engaging in a direct battle wasn't a guaranteed victory—not without consequences.
"Finn, as long as you come with me, everything will be fine."
The Dark Witch hovered above the battlefield, her strikingly beautiful features tinged with something deeper, something unreadable. Her eyes remained fixed on Finn, as though drawn by an unseen force.
"That's not going to happen. I won't go with you."
Finn's voice was firm, unwavering.
This universe had its own Wanda.
He knew that following this version of her would not only shatter Wanda's heart but also disrupt the fragile order of reality itself.
Inside the Sanctum's dojo, Wanda stood frozen, trembling at the sight before her. A cold dread seeped into her veins.
The thing she feared most was happening.
No, no!
She couldn't allow this false version of herself to take Finn away!
She had to stop her.
The air around her crackled as her hands glowed with seething chaos magic. Her energy surged, an ominous red aura wrapping around her body.
With a powerful thrust of her arms, she unleashed a massive blast of chaos energy at the Dark Witch.
The sheer force of it ignited the very air, distorting the atmosphere as it roared toward its target like a crimson storm.
"Steal him from me?"
The Dark Witch scoffed, amusement dancing in her voice.
"Even if you are me… you don't stand a chance."
With a casual wave of her hand, Wanda's powerful blast disintegrated into nothingness.
Wanda's breath hitched.
That attack had nearly drained her.
And yet, the Dark Witch had dismissed it as if it were nothing more than a flickering candle in the wind.
The power gap was too vast.
Before she could recover, the Dark Witch suddenly lunged forward, her laughter cold and mocking.
"You're not even close."
Her speed was blinding. Within a heartbeat, she was upon Wanda, chaos magic swirling in her palm, raw energy distorting the space around her.
The wind howled like a living thing, sharp as blades against the skin.
"Damn it!"
Wanda gritted her teeth and rapidly formed a scarlet barrier around herself, the energy thrumming violently in defense.
"You're testing my patience."
Finn's expression darkened. His left hand surged with the power of Balthakk's lightning, golden flames crackling violently. Without hesitation, he struck, his attack cutting through the air like a meteor streaking through the night sky.
The golden blast roared forward—
Only to hit empty space.
The Dark Witch's body dissolved into swirling black mist, vanishing completely as Finn's attack crashed into nothingness.
"Huh?"
Finn's gaze darted around, his senses sharp, but there was no trace of her.
He clenched his fists. "Her power is terrifying..."
Even with the full force of his attack, she had effortlessly avoided it, slipping through his grasp like a shadow.
Below, Wanda scanned the area.
The Dark Witch was gone.
Or so she thought.
A sudden chill crawled up her spine.
Turning sharply, she saw it—a black vortex swirling behind America Chavez.
And from its depths, a pair of ghostly pale hands emerged.
"Look out!"
Wanda's voice cracked with urgency.
America barely had time to register the warning before cold hands clamped onto her shoulders.
A shudder ran through her body, an electric jolt of paralyzing magic.
Then—
She was yanked downward.
"America!!"
Stephen's voice was raw with panic as he watched America's form sink into the dark vortex, vanishing completely.
A heavy silence fell over them.
She was gone.
And with her, the Dark Witch had gained the key to traveling the multiverse at will.
"This is bad."
Stephen's fists tightened as frustration twisted through him.
He had miscalculated.
He had thought she would come for Wanda first.
Instead, they had played right into her trap.
Finn's eyes darkened, his expression unreadable.
He had seen what happened. He had watched her take America. He had watched as his power failed to stop it.
The realization settled in his chest like lead.
The difference in their power was undeniable.
They hadn't stood a chance.
"Finn, behind you!!"
Wanda's voice rang out, filled with desperation.
Finn turned sharply—
And found himself face to face with her.
The Dark Witch smiled, her beauty both mesmerizing and unnerving.
"Finn… you should just come with me."
Her voice was soft, almost tender.
Finn's pulse pounded as he instinctively stepped back, but she was faster.
Her arms wrapped around him, holding him in an embrace deceptively gentle, yet he could feel the crushing force hidden beneath her touch.
"Let go."
Finn struggled, his strength pushing against her grip—but it was like fighting against an unbreakable chain.
She was too strong.
"Finn, you haven't changed a bit."
Her fingers traced his jawline with unsettling familiarity.
Then, with a simple gesture, darkness coiled around them.
A vortex of inky black mist spiraled into existence beneath their feet.
And before anyone could react, she pulled him down into it.
Then—
They were gone.
Below, Stephen and Wanda stood in stunned silence, watching as the vortex dissipated, leaving only empty space behind.
"Damn it," Stephen muttered, his face bruised and serious. "They're gone. I can't sense them anymore."
The Dark Witch had taken them out of this universe.
Retrieving them wouldn't be easy.
A shuddering breath escaped Wanda as realization sank in.
Her expression twisted with fury, grief, and something far darker.
"They took him..."
A dangerous energy crackled in the air around her.
Reality itself trembled at the weight of her rage.
Stephen's eyes widened. He recognized this feeling.
The power radiating from her was almost identical to what he had felt from the Dark Witch.
"Wanda... what are you doing?"
She didn't answer.
Her eyes gleamed with an abyssal darkness, her body trembling with uncontained power.
Was she going to fall into the same abyss?
Was she going to become... just like her?
