Wind brushed my hair against my forehead causing it to slightly tickle me.
I squeezed my eyes tightly closed in an attempt to keep the sun from disrupting my peaceful rest.
I mentally prepared to brush my hair off my forehead but I felt someone move it for me.
"Akari?" my own voice sounding raspy and dry called out to her.

Her voice was muffled as she choked on her tears.
"Al I don't know how to help you.."
"I know Akari, I don't even know how to help myself."
A wet droplet fell on my forehead as I laid in Akari's lap.
I finally opened my eyes and a beautiful scene revealed itself to me,
The setting sun's vibrant colors bounced off the tree leaves we were sitting under.
The sunset was gorgeous. The type you would only see in art or dreams.
As I stared at the sunset I brushed my hands on one of Akari's many tails.
"Akari… Life has been wonderful with you. I don't know how much time I have left in this world so I think I should say this now. I love you Akari… More than I could ever express."
The tears continued to pour as my forehead caught more droplets.
I couldn't help but look up at Akari's tear stricken face becoming dazed by her smile.
Perhaps the sunset was second only to this beautiful fox lady I was staring at.
"I love you too Al. So So much.."
Her tails coiled around me as she brought herself closer to my face.
I raised one of my hands to her face and cupped it. Looking intently at her crimson lips. I felt the beautiful tails of her push me to her face as she teased me.
"Just kiss me already Al."
With these words I would be some type of bastard to deny her.
I pressed my lips against hers as we sweetly kissed before we slowly tried to devour each other. The sunset fell, as did our clothes… The night is filled with the comforting sounds of wildlife and sweet nothings. This night we found solace in each other under this tree in which our love was spoken.
Tomorrow we did not know if we would ever be afforded this chance again but at this moment tomorrow didn't matter… Akari was the only thing that mattered to me.
