Chapter 30 - Chapter 30 – vampire progenitor and the Merchant Market

Uh… I wanted to ask you, who is your dad and how did he confirm the information so fast? I looked at her while she was busy handling customer bills. "I know that I haven't heard this near the gate. I saw it with my own eyes." but she does not know about it which means that her father had sent someone to the forest just while I was standing and he happened to have informed her father about it

She glanced at me after finishing her work and replied, "You don't know? My dad is the City Lord. His name is Hard Cromwel. Most of the well-known vampires, until or unless the ones which are converted. Will always carry the cromwel name or other progenitor surname like Crimson, Dracula

"So your progenitor is Cromwel?"

She nodded. "Yup!"

But leave that aside—your dad is an S-level being!!

That caught me off guard. I had assumed she was just a regular girl working here for money In this Inn? Why even work here? I asked, confused.

She gave me a vague answer. It felt like she didn't want to talk about it, so I didn't press further.

I told her I wouldn't be hunting today and walked out.

I had enough funds to stay at the inn for now. I decided to start working on my scripture and focus on increasing my base level to B-rank. Once I hit that, I'd go after that B-rank wolf. After all I wanted his B rank core plus and its talent on fire element, I think that wolf are one of the main beast spices so I will not just integrate wolf fire core i will also assimilate the wolf spiece also It would be fascinating to become a fire mage.

After thinking for a while, I decided to take a walk around the city. I wanted to buy some elephant blood and check out different profession unions and sub-Unions artifacts are mostly made by witches which usually work only with mana they are those who have talent for mana but do not awaken any elements they apply mana in a way that it makes different elements attract to themselves and then make artifacts which can contain all types of elements and even some artifacts which does not have any elements.

While walking, I came across a huge store. I asked a few vendors around and learned that it was a place where most essential items could be found. In the merchant market, one big merchant usually gathers all the goods from smaller ones and sells them here. Small merchant will get the price which they have designated for the product and the bigger one will take commission and to Which merchant gets to operate this store depends on the City Lord's decision.

As I stepped inside, I could feel the atmosphere shift. The place used electricity and looked as grand as a palace.

A salesperson approached me as I entered.

"Sir, what would you like to buy—or are you here to sell something?"

"I just want to see the items that are sold here."

He began showing me weapons.

"All these weapons are made by Sir Zoko, the best blacksmith in the city. No other blacksmith can match him."

Even I could see that the weapons made by him were far better in quality. I may not be a blacksmith, but I could feel how smoothly the weapon transferred energy when I held it.

I saw many weapons—katanas, swords, halberds, spears, axes, blades, and shields. I even tried a few moves, but nothing really suited me. I thought, maybe I should just make my tusk so tough that even Master Zoko's blade would fade in comparison.

After weapons, we moved to potions.

They were small circular bottles—mostly red and blue.

"This one's a recovery potion. It helps you gather your energy fast during battle," the salesperson explained. "This one's for regeneration—it helps your body recover quickly. There are many others he introduced me one which bost you phisical power it was green in colour.

"So… is there a tier system for potions and weapons?" I asked.

"Yes," he replied. "The tier system is the same as power levels. If you're D-rank, it's advised to only use up to C-rank potions. You can use higher-tier weapons, but you must be skilled. A-rank weapons consume energy rapidly. If you can't control them, you'll be drained after the first attack."

The energy difference between D-rank and A-rank was no joke.

"We also have many types of artifacts," he added. "Artifacts don't follow ranks but can help in life-or-death moments. Some are for utility—like powering a house with electricity. I also saw one which can charge phone it's price was high, sales person told me that any thing which uses electricity will cost more in supernatural world.

Some artifacts could conceal an area. Others could let you travel short distances in emergencies. After seeing more, I asked him about elephant blood. He was a little shocked because I was asking for just normal elephant blood, but he didn't let it show on his face. He told me I could order it—the order would be ready by tomorrow morning. I ordered some liters of blood and was given a token for the order.

I also paid in dollars, which can be converted here. I converted some of my dollars—the conversion rate is seriously low, like 1:100. A hundred dollars equals one bronze here.

While paying and taking the token, my eyes dropped on some shining cores. I asked the salesperson, "What are those? Are they refined cores?"

And I got the answer in affirmation. I could feel that I didn't sense any attraction to these cores—it's not the same as the feeling from non-refined ones. I think they don't carry something that the unrefined ones do.

I also asked if there were any unrefined cores that could be bought here. The salesperson was again shocked that I was asking for unrefined cores.

I even heard him whispering to himself, "This human is odd."
