Ava hesitated, eyes narrowing. But curiosity gnawed at her, refusing to let her walk away. With a reluctant sigh, she slumped into the opposite couch, her posture rigid, her arms still crossed like a shield. "Can you start talking now?"
"Gladly," Eryx said. He lifted a hand and snapped his fingers.
In an instant, both Seraya's cocooned body and the Alpha's lifeless form vanished.
Ava shot up, her heart hammering as rage flared inside her. "What the hell did you just do?" she demanded, fists clenched at her sides. "Where is Seraya? Where is my Alpha?"
Eryx merely leaned back against the leather cushions, utterly unbothered by her reaction. "Relax," he drawled. "Your Luna is now resting comfortably in a room upstairs." He tilted his head, regarding her with a faint smirk. "Or would you have preferred she continued sleeping on the cold floor?"
