Jenna crossed her arms tightly across her chest, her eyes narrowed with unease, a subtle glint of fear masked by a layer of disdain. "What a weirdo," she muttered, brow furrowing. "Now he's brooding like his golden-eyed buddy. Maybe they think they're better than everyone else." Her voice faltered near the end, betraying her bravado.
Amanda's lips curled in a sneer, her face flushed with rage. She clenched her fists so tightly that her knuckles turned white. "I'll deal with him later," she spat, her voice like venom.
She whipped around, her gaze locking on Ulva, who was back to staring down at the school courtyard, her posture eerily calm and detached, like she was observing a scene only she could see. Despite the chaos, she hadn't moved or turned once. It was impossible for her not to hear the commotion around her.
