Chapter 94 - As Ferocious as a Wolf

The damnedest thing about having a sharp mind was that Arthur could remember every single moment leading up to when he was thrown off the ogre and knocked out cold. 

As far as he could tell, what happened to his daughter was a mystery he had not yet solved. 

These thoughts piled on as he came to and he began to turn his head left and right as the fuzziness of being put in a sleeping spell wore off of him. 

Before he could sit up, he heard his daughter calling for him and his head snapped in the direction the voice came from. His light brown eyes were wide and relief washed over him as she dove into him and squeezed him tightly.

"My sweet girl," the man praised her, returning her hug and then some. "You can't imagine how worried I was. I would never forgive myself…"

He couldn't bear to finish the sentence. The thought of losing his daughter was something he faced frequently but it never got any easier. It was against a parent's nature to see their children in trouble.
