A Place That Shouldn't Exist
The temple rose before him, ancient and cracked, yet untouched by time.
Luo Fan's pulse pounded in his ears.
> I know this place.
But he shouldn't.
Every detail—the massive stone pillars, the floating runes, the eerie golden mist swirling along the ground—felt too familiar.
> Like I've been here before…
> Like I've left something behind.
His breath came shaky.
> Why does it feel like the world itself is watching me?
Then—
A whisper.
Faint. Distant. Calling his name.
> "Luo Fan."
A chill ran down his spine.
---
EchoStar Panics
> "Nope. Nuh-uh. Nooope! I'm pulling the emergency eject lever, Boss. We are LEAVING—"
Luo Fan took another step forward.
> "ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME?! WE DON'T WALK INTO OBVIOUSLY HAUNTED TEMPLES!"
> [WARNING: SYSTEM LOGS CORRUPTED]
[DATA EXISTS OUTSIDE RECORDED HISTORY]
Luo Fan ignored it.
Because something inside him whispered—
> I have to know.
---
The Door of Forgotten Names
At the temple's center stood a massive obsidian door.
Names etched into the surface.
> Countless names.
And at the very bottom—
His own.
LUO FAN.
He swallowed hard.
> Why is my name here?
Xiao Ling finally spoke, her voice low.
> "…This is where lost identities go."
Luo Fan turned to her.
> "What does that mean?"
She didn't answer.
Because the door opened on its own.
---
Something Beyond the Door
A golden light flooded out, blinding.
For a moment—
He saw shadows.
Figures standing just beyond the threshold, their faces unclear.
And then—
A single voice.
Familiar. Cold.
> "You're finally here."
Luo Fan's heart stopped.
Because he recognized that voice.
And it was his own.
