Lumine stood there frozen, grains of sand clinging to her damp boots, she looked at her hand still curled in midair, where she'd been holding the now vanished grilled fish.
She looked at the boy, she blinked once twice, her mouth open and close not getting a single word out, because of the absurdity she just witnessed.
Finally breaking the silence Lumine answered. "I'm sorry there's no more." Hearing this the boy expression became dejected, making Lumine's face twitched slightly, but before she could say another word the boy spoke.
"Hey" the boy looked around. "Is this... Liyue?" He says as he tilts his head.
Lumine not knowing anything looks at Paimon, fortunately Paimon noticing Lumine gaze answered for her.
"No you're at Mondstadt."
"Mondstadt huh..." The boy muttered. "And here I thought I would get swept to Liyue."
"Huh? Paimon is confused, why would you think you got swept to Liyue, what happened to you?" Paimon asked floating a little closer while Lumine just nodded not saying anything.
"You see I came from Inazuma, and right now Inazuma is in a gloomy state because of the Shogun decree." The boy said his face darkened.
"but that's not the reason why I left, I left because my mother is missing and I want to find her."
"Your mother... went missing?" Lumine asked her voice softening. There was sympathy in her eyes, after all she too had lost her family
The boy nodded slowly. "One day when I woke up she was gone, I thought she was just in the kitchen making breakfast like usual, but when she wasn't anywhere in the house i... panicked."
He paused as he looked towards the horizon, the wind stirred his hair
"When i realized she isn't anywhere in the house, I ran outside to ask people if they had seen my mother, but... all they give me is a sympathetic look before saying that she must have escaped leaving me behind."
"Hearing those people say that my mother ran away in fear made me angry." He clenches his fist. "After all i know my mother isn't like that she wouldn't leave me behind, i know for sure." His voice grows quieter.
Hearing this Lumine stayed quiet for a moment, even Paimon didn't speak, but she floated closer rubbing the boy back.
"I waited there in our house everyday hoping she would return, but when a month had passed and there was still no sign of her i went out searching, until one day the Shogun appeared before me."
Lumine eyes narrowed in confusion, while Paimon leaned in
"You met the Shogun." Paimon ask
The boy nodded. "Mhmm she came out of nowhere,I... thought that maybe she knows something after all she's Inazuma Archon, I was about to ask her about my mother but..."
"But what, What happened?" Paimon asks leaning closer
He took a deep breath. "Before I could even open my mouth to speak she attacked me."
Both Lumine and Paimon gasped . ""She attacked you?""
"Yeah i barely dodge it, but you know what's worse?" He said his voice was rising in frustration. "She didn't even give me a chance to ask and just started attacking me right away!
And when i finally managed to shout out why, she just answered with and I quote, 'You're an enemy to my eternity."
He crossed his arms clearly still upset. "Which just gives me more questions than answers, but i didn't get the chance to ask more as i had to put all my focus to not get turned into ashes!"
"Hahaha Paimon thinks you're really angry at the Shogun." Paimon said while Lumine nodded before asking. "So what happened next?"
The boy calmed himself down before continuing. "After that i was able to find an opening and using my electro vision i was able to escape, though it didn't last long as she was able to catch up to me easily, and her attack hit me." Hearing this both Lumine and Paimon were shocked and they inspected my body but found no wound
"But your body looks fine." Paimon said
The boy just smiled at Paimon. " That's because of my special ability." He said his face was full of thriumph.
""Special ability?""
"Yup every time i eat food my body recovers at an incredible rate but that's besides the point, after the Shogun attack hit me i felt great pain and before i passed out i saw my mother's silhouette standing in front of the Shogun."
"What happened next." Paimon asked her face beaming with curiosity.
The boy just scratched the back of his head. "I don't know because I passed out right there when i woke up i was all alone and extremely hungry, so i found a Hilichurl camp and may or... may have not eaten them."
"You ate what." Paimon screamed flailing in the air.
"I can't help it okay i was like in a state of frenzy where clenching my hunger is all that matters, after that i found a boat drifted to sea... and ended up here."
There was a short silence afterwards
The boy rubbed his neck awkwardly. "Sorry for dumping all of that on you that got pretty depressing huh?"
Lumine shook her head. "It's fine really."
"Yeah." Paimon added quickly. "It's really fine uh oh Paimon forgot to ask what your name is."
The boy blinked then let out a small chuckle. " It's Makoto." He said as a small smile tugged in the corner of his mouth. "A traveler from Inazuma."
"Right now Paimon just had a great idea." Paimon grinned. "Well then Makoto, since both you and lumine are trying to find your family, why not travel together?"
Makoto looked up to paimon caught off guard, then his gaze shifted to Lumine.
"You don't mind." He asked
Lumine gave a brief nod. "Not at all."
Makoto smiled again, then he stood up and bowed slightly.
"Then... please take care of me from now on." He said.
Lumine returned the gesture, her expression softening. "Me too."

Hello I finally finished chapter 2 but don't expect regular updates as the only time i write a chapter is when I'm bored and have nothing to read. Plus although i have ideas it's hard for me to put them into words so should i buy a dictionary? Lastly incase you want to find out makoto outfit here it is
Outerwear: A vibrant, multicolored jacket that stands out immediately. The jacket has:
Yellow as the base color for the lower part and hood.
Bright orange on the sleeves and inner lining.
Sky blue on the forearms,
Inner layers:
A fuchsia/magenta hoodie layered underneath the jacket,
Beneath the hoodie, there's a hint of a gray inner layer, possibly a sweatshirt or T-shirt, peeking through the sleeves.
Pants:
Light blue, straight-leg jeans that balance out the upper half of the outfit and maintain the overall colorful tone.
Footwear:
Chunky sneakers with a mix of colors:
White base
Pink soles
Neon orange laces
Some light lavender/purple accents.
