Chapter 89 - Eevee’s Looting Spree

— — — — — — —

The Red Queen didn't even bother responding to her objections. After all, Eevee's authority was absolute.

Cynthia did also have a silver wristband identical to Eevee's, equipped with the Red Queen's system, which helped her in many ways.

Regarding communication wristbands, they were actually an upcoming product from the Renzos Group.

Of course, it was a heavily restricted version—there was no way they'd include the Red Queen's subsystem. At most, it had a significantly downgraded AI.

Eevee, the mastermind behind it all, secretly chuckled to itself. There was no plan to change that.

Then, it turned to the Red Queen and asked, "Could it be a Porygon?"

"Exactly!" Red Queen confirmed.

"Oh? Then capture it and store it in my wristband for now. I'll deal with it later when we return."

"As you command!"

In no time, the Red Queen had taken care of the Porygon.

With that done, Eevee led Cynthia straight to the base's third underground level without any resistance.

There, right in the center, beneath a transparent glass dome, Eevee spotted a uniquely evolved Eevee, the one with three different forms.

"Heh, so it really is here? Excellent! That saves me the trouble of searching any further." Eevee grinned widely.

Everything was going even smoother than expected!

"Hm? Who are you?!"

Athena and a group of Team Rocket members were no fools—they immediately noticed Eevee and Cynthia's sudden appearance. Without hesitation, they questioned them while simultaneously releasing their Pokémon.

"Master! The one who used telepathy earlier seemed to be that Espeon!"

Athena's Golbat took the initiative, emerging from its Poké Ball and buzzing as it reported to Athena.

Of course, it wasn't speaking human language—only a few Pokémon could do that.

Still, after years of companionship, Athena had her own way of understanding it.

"What? It was really that one?"

Athena was shocked, then turned her gaze toward Eevee. "So, you've come for us specifically? Has our hideout already been exposed?"

"Golbat, att—"

Before she could even finish her command, Eevee had already flickered out of sight, appearing right above Golbat in an instant. Raising a paw, it delivered a brutal slap straight onto Golbat's body.

Smack!

A terrifying force surged through Golbat—it felt like it had just been hit by a Garchomp's Dragon Rush!

Golbat was instantly sent flying.

With a loud crash!, it smashed into the cement wall on the left, leaving a deep crater in its path.

"W-What… Golbat?!"

Athena gasped in shock.

Looking at Golbat embedded in the wall, its eyes swirling in a daze, completely unconscious and out of the fight, she couldn't believe what had just happened.

She was utterly stunned by Eevee's terrifying speed.

She knew that teleportation was impossible in this space, meaning Eevee had relied purely on its speed. That wasn't just Quick Attack—it was an enhanced, ultimate version of Quick Attack!

"You…!"

Shocked and furious, Athena reached for her other Poké Balls, ready to retaliate.

"Hypnosis!"

But Eevee wasn't about to let her have her way.

Its eyes flashed red, and in an instant, a powerful wave of psychic energy radiated outward, engulfing the entire area.

Athena, the Team Rocket members, and all their Pokémon were immediately struck by the force, succumbing to an unavoidable sleep. One by one, they collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

Cynthia, watching all of this unfold, was utterly dumbfounded.

She turned to Eevee with a shocked expression. "Eevee, you're way too strong! Hypnosis can be used like that?!"

She felt like Eevee's techniques were on a whole different level—something she had never seen before.

If Psychic-type Pokémon could really use Hypnosis on such a large scale, incapacitating both humans and Pokémon—including powerful ones on the Elite Four level—then Psychic-types would have already ruled the world!

"What are you thinking?"

Eevee rolled its eyes. "This isn't just about the move. It's because my psychic power is insanely strong—far beyond the limit of Elite Four-level Psychic Pokémon!"

"Plus, I've mastered Hypnosis to an extreme degree through deep research, which is why I can achieve this effect!"

"Of course, I can't forcefully put Champion-level Pokémon to sleep just yet."

Just listen to this Renzo! He even wanted to put Champion-level Pokémon to sleep!

As expected of Eevee—the ultimate humblebragger!

"This is already ridiculously impressive!"

Cynthia shook her head in amazement, feeling both surprised and proud of Eevee.

Of course, she was happiest that Eevee was on her side.

No one would believe it if she told them, but her Eevee didn't even need training. It trained itself—and became ridiculously strong on its own.

It even helped train her other Pokémon, and sometimes, even her.

People always praised her, saying she was a prodigy and had the potential to become the youngest-ever regional champion.

But Cynthia felt that most of the credit belonged to Eevee.

Of course, she had some part in it too—just a little!

"So, what's next? What should we do with these people? And have you found that Eevee yet?"

Cynthia turned to ask Eevee.

"Yeah… look over there, inside that glass dome."

Eevee casually tilted its head in the direction of the trapped Eevee.

"As for these people…"

Eevee thought for a moment before saying, "Let's erase their memories of us, then have Red Queen notify the local Officer Jenny. She can inform the League investigators nearby."

Eevee was mainly concerned about staying off Team Rocket's radar—it didn't want Cynthia's safety to be compromised.

"Of course…."

Then, turning to Cynthia, Eevee added, "If you want to take credit for taking down a major Team Rocket base, you could report it to the Kanto League yourself, or ask Professor Carolina to help contact the League headquarters."

"What do you think?"

As far as Eevee knew, the League's treasury was stacked with valuable rewards like top-tier pseudo-legendary Pokémon eggs.

The choice was hers. Even if she decided to take on some risk and claim the achievement, Eevee would ensure her safety.

Team Rocket? Give it a little more time, and Eevee wouldn't even consider them a threat anymore.

Hearing how thorough Eevee's planning was, Cynthia grinned and crouched down to hug Eevee around the neck, nuzzling it affectionately.

Then, cupping its face seriously, she said, "Of course, our safety comes first! I don't care about a little reward—we're already rich!"

"Eevee, you're too special. If Team Rocket or any other dark organization catches wind of you, it'll be dangerous!"

Just like how Eevee valued her safety, Cynthia cared deeply about Eevee's well-being too.

Neither of them wanted to see the other get hurt.

"Heh."

Eevee chuckled warmly. "Alright, then it's decided! Let's grab whatever useful stuff we can and get out of here."

There were still unconscious people at the entrance, after all. They needed to handle them quickly before anything unexpected happened.

Without further delay, Eevee had Red Queen unlock the glass dome containing the three-formed Eevee.

Cynthia immediately used an empty Poké Ball to capture it.

Then, Eevee had Red Queen deactivate the base's psychic interference devices. With nothing blocking it, Eevee freely used telepathy to scan the entire underground facility.

In no time, it had looted the entire place.

Not only did Red Queen copy all the data from their systems, but Eevee also dismantled and stored the entire psychic interference system in its personal space-warping wristband.

That's right!

Aside from the commonly used storage backpacks, the Pokémon world also had more advanced storage wristbands and rings—products of high-end spatial technology.

They were rare and ridiculously expensive, but for convenience, Eevee had Professor Carolina pull some strings with Devon Corporation to custom-order two of them.

One for Eevee, one for Cynthia.

"All done! Time to go!"

Before leaving, Eevee made sure to erase the memories of all the Team Rocket members at the entrance, wiping out any recollection of Cynthia and itself.

Red Queen also deleted any security footage of them from the base's monitoring systems.

Triple-checking that nothing was left behind, Eevee finally took Cynthia out of the Game Corner hideout. They headed straight to a top-tier hotel, ordered a feast, and enjoyed a well-earned meal.

Only then did Red Queen notify Officer Jenny.
