Chapter 37 - The Offensive Begins

Moris Sinclair had spent his life in boardrooms, negotiating billion-dollar deals, dismantling rivals with a single well-timed move. But this wasn't business anymore.

This was war.

And if Julian Roth and Vivienne Langley wanted to drag him through the mud, then they had no idea just how deep he was willing to go.

A New Strategy

Moris stood at the center of his penthouse, staring at the faces around him—Isabel, Sarah, Leo, and his legal advisor, Vincent Graves.

"We're not playing defense anymore," he announced. "Julian and Vivienne want to break me, ruin my reputation, and take everything I've built. But they made a mistake."

Sarah smirked. "And what's that?"

Moris's expression was ice-cold. "They thought I'd play fair."

He turned to Leo. "I want everything on Julian. No half-measures. I don't care how deep we have to dig."

Leo nodded. "Already working on it."

Then he faced Vincent. "How strong is their fraud accusation?"

Vincent sighed. "It's fabricated, but it's convincing. They've created just enough doubt for investigators to get involved."

Moris's jaw clenched. So that was their play.

Julian wasn't trying to prove Moris guilty. He was trying to stall him.

"Then we hit back harder," Moris said. "Julian and Vivienne have secrets. We just need to expose them first."

The Weak Link

While Moris's team worked on the counterattack, Sarah took a more direct approach.

She had spent years in elite social circles, rubbing shoulders with billionaires, politicians, and power players. And she knew one universal truth about powerful men:

They always had a weakness.

Julian Roth was no exception.

That's why Sarah found herself at an exclusive rooftop bar that night, sipping a martini and waiting.

Her target? Christopher Roth.

Julian's younger brother.

He wasn't as ruthless, wasn't as polished. He was reckless, eager to prove himself, and—most importantly—easier to manipulate.

When Christopher finally arrived, Sarah flashed him a smile. "Chris, darling. Long time no see."

Christopher smirked, already half-drunk. "Sarah. Didn't think you'd still be running around in Moris's shadow."

She leaned in, lowering her voice. "I was actually hoping you'd tell me what your brother is up to."

Christopher hesitated. "Julian doesn't exactly share his playbook."

Sarah ran a finger along the rim of her glass. "Come on, Chris. You and I both know he treats you like an afterthought. Maybe it's time you stopped playing by his rules."

Christopher exhaled, swirling his drink. He was thinking. Good.

Sarah pressed harder. "I can help you, Chris. We can help each other."

Christopher's eyes flickered with hesitation, then interest.

Sarah knew she had him.

Julian's Next Move

Julian sat in his private office, watching the city skyline. He had expected Moris to push back, but he wasn't worried.

Yet.

Vivienne sat across from him, sipping a glass of wine. "Christopher's been seen with Sarah."

Julian's grip tightened around his glass.

Vivienne smirked. "You didn't really think your brother would stay loyal forever, did you?"

Julian set his drink down. "It doesn't matter. By the time they figure out what's coming, it'll be too late."

Vivienne raised a brow. "And what's coming?"

Julian leaned forward, his eyes gleaming.

"The final blow."

The Twist

Back at Moris's penthouse, Leo suddenly froze as he stared at his laptop screen.

"Guys… we have a problem."

Moris, Isabel, and Sarah rushed over.

"What is it?" Isabel asked.

Leo's voice was grim. "Julian's one step ahead. He's about to launch something massive."

Moris's eyes darkened. "What kind of move?"

Leo turned the screen around. Emails, documents, and evidence—fabricated but damning.

Julian wasn't just accusing Moris of fraud anymore. He was framing him for something far worse.

Corporate espionage.

If this hit the media, it wouldn't just damage Moris's reputation.

It would destroy him.

Moris exhaled slowly, his mind already calculating counterattacks.

Then he looked up.

"Julian wants war?" His voice was deadly calm.

"Then let's give him one."
