Year 60451 of the death calender.
The 3rd day of the seventh month.
Calamity came to the world in the form of a young man.
A man meant to be reincarnated as a hero instead became what they called, evil incarnate.
No one knows the exact day that he really appeared. Only the day that he made himself known.
Year 60451, the fifth day of the seventh month.
It was confirmed that a heaven's tower fell on the military kingdom of Crinelis.
It was confirmed that 7,603,950 people died, all in a span of twenty minutes.
It was confirmed, that probable causes included, impact from the tower, the ground shaking which led to sinkholes and buildings collapsing, tsunami, and maybe a few unknown natural causes.
Desperation to live led to chaos. People scrambled to run, many were injured while all that happened.
It was confirmed, that there were no survivors.
Year 60451, the eleventh day of the seventh month.
A dragon, popularly known as the frost god or dragon lord, attacked the capital of Havvothj'air. Details of that day have been kept away from the eyes of the public due to, certain reasons. Maybe because it would've caused nightmares to others.
The only thing known is the death count.
661,844 were confirmed dead. Among them was their very own king Einthe.
3,306 survived.
A kingdom with no capital. A kingdom with no king. Such a thing does not exist. And the people knew it. They did what they had to do.
Year 60451, the twenty first day of the ninth month.
A wall, running across the entire continent suddenly appeared, dividing the land of monsters and that of humans.
Lives of unexpecting civilians living in the border town of Farglade were taken as collateral.
A few others were also caught in it.
Some of those who survived say that they were helped by a young man and his companion elf. But it hasn't been confirmed who it was. The reason that led to his investigation was the description that was given about him.
An approximate of 4000 lost their lives. There was no way of getting the exact number.
Year 60452, the second day of the second month of the year.
The capital city of Aetheria was attacked by the dragon lord and another unknown monster which some call a giant.
Attempts to resist the attack were made.
They ended in failure.
According to reports, a demon seemed to have been working together with them. Though some say that this was not the case, the majority were convinced otherwise.
The end result was the destruction of the capital, and the loss of the demon lord's sword.
There was no known cause for the attack. Because of this, certain theories were made.
The demon and the monsters must've worked together in order to steal the demon lord's sword. Evidence suggests that this was the case as well.
As it turns out, the adventurers who fought the monsters saw the demon lord's sword being taken by the dragon lord.
The theory makes more sense since news about the demon lord's return had already spread.
Basically, the monsters are working together with demons to bring back the demon lord. And judging by how successful it was, they must've been planning it for a while
That's what they say.
1,403 people lost their lives.
Year 60452, the third day of the third month. Coincidence, maybe?
An attempt to attack the nation of monsters was made by the High Priest.
Using the power of the goddess, and a small army brought together by some of the eastern nations, it succeeded, in a way.
The entire army died, the priest disappeared and the monsters didn't attack again.
Year 60452, the eighth day of the same month.
The High Priest still hasn't been found.
The capital of the Holy Kingdom was attacked and destroyed by one person.
Many lives were lost, including the strongest adventurers in the city, and her majesty, the empress, Lady Esther.
Exactly 250,000 people lost their lives, including the empress.
On the very next day, it was theorised that someone ascended. But it wasn't confirmed yet.
Year 60452, the tenth day of the third month.
Monsters made a peace agreement with humans. They promised not to attack again or do anything remotely bad to humans.
By the next day, the details of the agreement had already spread through the entire continent.
Year 60452, the eleventh day of the third month.
It was confirmed that the one who ascended was the same person who attacked the Holy Empire, who killed the empress, who caused everything else that happened in the previous year.
He is the one that calls himself, Nerezza Vingar.
The man that wants to become a god.
"That is all the information that could be garnered at this moment." A man wearing a suit said to someone seated behind a desk.
"Is that so." It was Jezebel. The daughter of the empire. And she seemed disappointed.
"Is there something bothering you, my lady?" Another man, most likely a butler since he stood behind her, asked.
"No... Actually, yes." Referring to the other man, "How many have died in total?"
"W...w..well, uuh... It's an approximate number."
"..." She was getting angry. It made the man scared. All he was trying to do was not frighten a little girl.
"8,562,197. When you add the army led by the high priest as well."
It was hard to believe it. One man, one year.
The man was worried that she would get shocked, but when he looked at her, he was the one that was shocked.
The rage in her eyes, the way she angrily pressed a pen in her hands to the point that it even bent.
She was furious, and they weren't sure why.
'Nerezza Vingar.' She thought. 'The man that wants to become a god. I'll never forget you! You will pay! DEARLY!'
...
Now, in the 'residence' of the demons, there were five of them seated at a long table. One of them, the one who leads them, was at the very end.
One looked like a succubus with dark skin, hair and tail. She wore a very revealing set of clothes. Another like an undead, missing his lower jaw and wearing a weirdly shaped hat. A short arrow ran through his neck and seemed to be completely attached to his neck.
The third one looked like a normal teenager, with dark blue hair and a big sword that he seemed to really like holding. He kept hugging his sword and rubbed his face against it with a grin.
The last was a lady knight. Clad in heavy armour with long red hair and a serious face.
They all looked at each other doubtfully. Not a single word was said the entire time.
Suddenly, the doors to the room swang open forcefully and another demon with the figure of a man walked in confidently. His clothes were western style, and he had multiple hand guns and rifles on his belt and back.
"Yo. What's up." He greeted everyone.
"You're the one that killed the fifth, aren't you?" The succubus asked.
"What do you expect? There's no way I could let some animal be at a higher rank than me. Your system is awful. All you gotta do to get a higher rank was kill the one who's already in that position. What a load of crap."
"Well, it helped you get to where you are." The lady knight commented.
"Enough." Their leader told them. "Everyone's here. We can start discussing today's topic."
The one that entered sat down quietly to listen.
"As you all know, for the past few months, we haven't done much in preparations. This is because we depended on monsters to do everything for us."
"Now they want peace with humans, making them useless to us. Or are they?"
You could hear him under his cloak getting excited.
"I have an idea. A way to make monsters useful again."
"You want to pin monsters and humans against each other by making monsters look like they aren't keeping their end of the deal." The new one said.
"Thanks for stealing my fire."
"No need to thank me."
"Anyway, while we wait for our lord to return, we can execute this plan in the shadows and ensure our own victory for this generation. And the five of you will be the ones to do it."
"Leave it to us." The succubus replied.
"Fine by me." So did the new one.
"Understood." And the lady knight.
The other two responded with head nod.
Their leader stood up straight and looked directly in front of him. The others did the same.
"For our lord and master, he who brings balance to the world." He said.
The others responded in unison.
"For a world taken over by falsehood, a world on its last legs. "
"For heaven's glory to shine yet again."
