Chapter 059: They're All Great, But Can I Have Them All?
Finding another girl to date…
Easier said than done!
Wakama Senju had just completed a major mission, and his father, Butsuma, had granted him some time off.
But the break turned out to be rather boring.
With no girls to spend time with, he either ended up studying under Tsukuyo or training alone.
Day in and day out, he practiced his "Stealth Techniques," "Dexterity Techniques," and "Lock-Picking Techniques," and every morning and evening, he practiced Tai Chi.
On the surface, his life seemed peaceful and fulfilling, but in reality, it was mind-numbingly dull.
In his stealth form, Wakama perched high above, overlooking the bustling hot spring street in the Senju clan's territory.
After Tsukuyo developed the septic tank recycling system, the Senju clan had constructed artificial hot springs within their grounds.
The hot spring street seemed to have been built with future "big business" in mind, with its lavish buildings, facilities, and roads far surpassing even the prosperity of Tanzaku Street.
For now, the hot springs were only open to members of the Senju clan.
With a constant supply of hot water and convenient drainage systems, the Senju clan had grown fond of bathing and soaking in the hot springs especially the girls.
Ever since Tsukuyo urged Wakama to find a new girl to date,
Wakama had often taken to standing in stealth mode at high vantage points, overlooking the Senju clan's many fair-skinned girls.
Tsukuyo's aesthetic sense was impeccable, and she had "polished" most of the girls in the clan to look stunning.
The girls soaking in the hot springs were all beautiful, each with her own unique charm.
At a glance, Wakama was immediately struck with decision paralysis.
Whether they were older sisters or younger sisters, they were all great but he couldn't have them all.
However, after watching the lively scene for several days, Wakama finally understood what Tsukuyo had meant.
After seeing so many other beautiful girls,
Wakama's feelings for Hyuga Miyu began to fade.
Their bond hadn't been particularly deep to begin with.
The affection he had felt was merely the result of over a year of accumulated interactions.
What had truly left an impression on him was the thrill and unparalleled sense of adventure that came with their forbidden romance.
But now, the emotions that had taken so much time to build were gradually dissipating in just a few days.
It wouldn't be long before Wakama could see Hyuga Miyu as nothing more than a stranger.
As for beauty, hadn't Wakama spent over a year refining Hyuga Miyu into a more outstanding and beautiful woman?
If he could shape Hyuga Miyu, he could certainly shape other women as well.
The sadness and reluctance he had felt were merely regrets over the time, energy, and resources he had wasted.
But looking back, it didn't seem like he had lost much.
Wakama continued to admire the beautiful girls of the Senju clan from his high perch, marveling at how, despite being of the same gender, their bodies could all look so different.
Suddenly…
"Buzz"
"Buzz"
…
The annoying sound of mosquitoes reached his ears, and Wakama's eyes widened as he turned sharply toward the source.
There, perched on a nearby tree branch, was a plump rat with glowing eyes. From its small, gaping mouth came the sound of mosquitoes flapping their wings.
The rat carried a tiny sling bag, which it used to transport items.
Wakama's lips twitched.
This spherical, adorable creature was none other than Tsukuyo's pet rat, Murien.
This little guy often helped them deliver messages and items, serving as a highly dedicated "express delivery" rat.
The clever little creature had even learned a "foreign language" for the sake of disguise, often using mosquito sounds to greet others.
Seeing the little rat approach him, Wakama knew it had something to say.
He reached out, scooped up Murien, and silently left his spot.
Only when they reached the shadows at the edge of the clan's territory did Wakama hold up the plump rat and ask softly, "Did Tsukuyo send you?"
To Wakama's surprise,
Murien shook its tiny head, indicating no.
Then, it pulled out a note from its sling bag and handed it to Wakama.
Wakama's expression remained calm, assuming it was a reply from Hyuga Miyu. He was already feeling reluctant to deal with her.
However, upon opening the note,
a flicker of surprise crossed Wakama's face. He whispered to Murien, "Where is she now?"
Murien made a gesture that meant, "Follow me."
Wakama nodded.
And so, the man and the rat moved stealthily through the darkness, gradually leaving the Senju clan's territory and heading swiftly toward the forest of Naka River.
Finally, beneath a waterfall in the Naka River forest, Wakama saw a slender figure dressed in the traditional combat attire of the Uchiha clan.
Uchiha Yuki…
The cross-dressing Uchiha clan member had been waiting here for Wakama's arrival.
Once the guide mission was complete, Murien quietly hid itself, observing from the shadows.
The moment Wakama appeared, the tension on Uchiha Yuki's face seemed to ease slightly.
"I'm sorry. I asked Lord Madara for permission to meet you," Uchiha Yuki spoke first.
Her voice was muffled by the roaring waterfall, and even Wakama, standing just two meters away, could barely hear her.
"Lord Madara entrusted this rat to deliver a message to you. Thank you for gracing me with your presence," Uchiha Yuki said, pulling out the porcelain bottle Wakama had given her earlier and handing it over.
Wakama looked puzzled. "This medicine doesn't expire easily. You can keep it for next time. Once I've given it to you, there's no need to return it."
Uchiha Yuki fell silent for a few seconds before whispering, "...She's gone."
"What?" Wakama's eyes widened.
"My mother… she passed away," Uchiha Yuki said, her head lowered. Her voice was eerily calm. "By the time I brought this medicine to her, she had already been dead for some time… She didn't make it…"
Wakama didn't know what to say, so he murmured, "My condolences."
"I'm sorry. You took a risk to give me this medicine, and yet…" Uchiha Yuki continued slowly, "If only I had been a little more useful…"
"One person's strength can't change much. This isn't your fault," Wakama said, instinctively offering comfort.
As he spoke, he subtly stepped back, trying to retreat into the shadows.
Uchiha Yuki noticed his movement, and a bitter smile appeared on her face.
She had come today to return the medicine.
No matter the reason, Wakama had given her the medicine, and whether she used it or not, the fact remained that he had done her a favor.
Returning the medicine was her way of telling Wakama that the debt no longer existed, and that they would have no further connection.
Wakama's current actions, however, made it clear that he had no intention of taking the medicine back.
Just as Wakama was about to disappear, Uchiha Yuki suddenly activated the Body Flicker Technique, darting in front of him and shoving the medicine bottle into his hands.
"Take the medicine back. Even though it wasn't used, I still thank you," Uchiha Yuki said, her expression now blank and her tone cold.
