Chapter 208 - Chapter 208: Jimmy and Marina

"Okay, Chikorita, use Razor Leaf," Vincent quickly issued an order.

Chikorita shook her head vigorously, and a leaf shot out from the long leaves on her head, rushing straight towards Eevee.

Eevee looked at the Razor Leaf and dodged it with a light jump.

This Razor Leaf not only had low power but also flew slowly. Even Eevee's grandmother could dodge it.

"It actually dodged it," Vincent was surprised that Eevee could dodge it, so he changed the order and said, "It actually dodged it, then we will Tackle."

"Chiko!"

Chikorita rushed towards Eevee, with the posture of a newborn calf not afraid of a tiger.

However, this is mainly because Eevee is also very cute, and the other party also thinks Eevee is a little cute, but not a threat.

"Eevee, use Aqua Tail," Gary ordered.

Eevee smiled, and water wrapped around its tail, turning into a water blade. In Chikorita's surprised eyes, it swept away with its tail.

Bang!!

Chikorita was directly knocked out and fell to the ground, unable to say a word.

"What! Chikorita, are you okay?!" Vincent was dumbfounded.

He immediately went to Chikorita and found that Chikorita's eyes were rolling around, and it had lost its ability to fight.

"Aren't Grass-type Pokémon supposed to resist Water-type moves? Why?" Vincent looked at Gary's Eevee in confusion.

"Eevee," Eevee looked at the fallen Chikorita, just feeling bored, and ran back to Gary.

"Don't be surprised. Grass-type Pokémon resist Water-type moves, but Chikorita's level is too low compared to my Eevee," Gary responded.

"The level difference is too big. Even moves that aren't super effective can still cause great damage."

"Really...!" Vincent looked at Eevee beside Gary. The main reason was that Eevee was too cute. It didn't look like a powerful Pokémon at all.

"Hurry up and send Chikorita to the Pokémon Center for treatment," Gary reminded.

"That's right!"

Vincent only thought of Chikorita at this time and immediately carried Chikorita to the Pokémon Center.

Nurse Joy saw Vincent returning with Chikorita in his arms and shook her head helplessly.

This young man really doesn't listen to advice and always likes to act on his own. This way, Pokémon will suffer a great loss.

"Nurse Joy, quickly treat my Chikorita," Vincent said anxiously.

Despite being annoyed, Joy still took Chikorita to the treatment room for treatment in the spirit of a dedicated nurse.

Gary and Eevee followed in, mainly because Gary wanted to see if Vincent would be depressed after being defeated.

Unfortunately, Gary obviously thought too much. Although Vincent looked unhappy, he was not discouraged but was instead motivated.

"Senior Gary, when I become stronger, can I challenge you again?" Vincent said.

Gary was amused this Vincent was exactly the same as Ash in some aspects.

"See you at the Silver Conference," Gary said.

"Okay, I will definitely attend the Silver Conference," Vincent clenched his fist and rekindled his fighting spirit.

"Vincent, how are you?" At this time, a man and a woman walked in.

Gary and Vincent both looked at the door.

Gary saw the man and woman walking in and immediately recognized their identities.

The man was called Jimmy, and the woman was called Marina.

Like Vincent, they were all Rookie Trainers from this batch of New Bark Town. The three of them also knew each other and were friends since childhood.

"Ah... Marina!!" Seeing Marina, Vincent immediately came over and said, "Marina, do you want to travel with me? I will take care of you along the way."

"Thanks, but there's no need," Marina said with disdain. "Seeing you like this, it doesn't look like you took any hits. Did you even win the battle?

"Oh, Marina, you care about me so much. You even know about my battle," Vincent said excitedly.

"Don't get me wrong. I just happened to be at Professor Elm's place. It was Nurse Joy who called Jimmy. I came to see you. I'm not concerned about you," Marina explained immediately, fearing that Vincent would misunderstand.

Marina has clearly stated that she doesn't like Vincent, but Vincent is so shameless that he always shows his courtesy to her.

"Vincent, is your Chikorita okay?" Jimmy asked.

When mentioning Chikorita, Vincent said a little frustrated, "It's okay. I've handed it over to Joy for treatment. I didn't expect that my first battle in my life would end in defeat. It's really unfortunate."

"Who beat you?" Marina asked curiously.

Although the three of them were all Rookie Trainers, Marina still knew Vincent.

Vincent looked very confident, but he also worked hard on his homework. He had a rich knowledge of Pokémon. The Trainer who could beat him must be extraordinary.

"Didn't you see it was him?" Vincent pointed at Gary and said, "It was his Eevee that beat me."

Jimmy and Marina both looked at Gary and suddenly had different opinions in their hearts.

"This is the Trainer who beat Vincent. He looks very calm. I really want to challenge him," Jimmy thought to himself.

"Wow, so handsome, even more handsome than Jimmy," Marina thought to herself.

"Hello, my name is Gary," Gary also greeted politely.

"Hello, my name is Marina," Marina responded enthusiastically when she saw the handsome guy.

Vincent on the side was a little jealous. She was so enthusiastic when they first met. She was really a woman who only liked handsome guys.

"Hello, my name is Jimmy. You just defeated Vincent. Can you fight me?" Jimmy directly challenged him.

"Jimmy, you...!" Marina wanted to stop him, but she didn't say much when she saw that it was the decision of her sweetheart.

Marina is a very philandering girl. She aspires to be Lance's lover, but she likes Jimmy in her heart. She is a complete philandering girl, just like Misty.

"Jimmy, Gary is very strong. I suggest you forget it," Vincent said righteously.

Vincent was very confident before, but after the defeat, he calmed down. As a Rookie, he is indeed not a veteran Trainer's rival. He doesn't want to see his good brother lose.

"That can't be forgotten. You challenged him, so I want to challenge him too," Jimmy said with high morale.

"Well... you are also a Rookie like Vincent," Gary said.

"Yes, I just got my Pokémon today," Jimmy nodded.

Gary: Hmm...!

Are all the Rookie Trainers in New Bark Town so fearless?

"Okay, let's fight again," Gary agreed.

Gary naturally had no intention of bullying Rookies, but the three in front of him were the Trainers favored by Professor Elm, and Gary, as a senior, could give them some pointers.
