Memory by memory started to return to Lily's mind.
The accident that caused her mother's death was now clearly etched in her brain.
It wasn't just the incident she remembered—Lily also recalled who was responsible for her mother's death and who refused to take responsibility for it.
It was her own in-laws.
The two people Lily had always been proud of and respected turned out to be the ones who took her mother's life.
Without realizing it, tears streamed down Lily's cheeks as she stared blankly.
"If I could turn back time, I would never have gotten trapped in their game. I would've never worked at that company or become the daughter-in-law of the people who ended my mother's life."
A psychologist, who was currently treating Lily, walked into the room with a faint smile.
"You're awake, Ma'am?"
Lily nodded slightly, wiping her tears away roughly.
"Yes, Doctor."
"How are you feeling? Do you feel better after the therapy?"
Lily only nodded in response.
