The violent surge of electricity left the Carnage symbiote completely unable to control itself—let alone the host's body.
Bruce's control over the current was precise; it didn't fully paralyze the host's bodily functions.
Instead, it allowed the host inside to start tearing Carnage off their body.
As a symbiote, Carnage would never willingly let go of such a good host, but right now, it was completely powerless.
All it could do was watch helplessly as the person inside forcibly ripped it away.
The next moment, a completely naked man had already separated from the mass of red symbiote.
Bruce kicked him toward Mary Jane, then turned the electricity to its highest setting and pressed it against the Carnage symbiote.
This time, Bruce's current reduced the Carnage symbiote to a charred husk.
The symbiote began to crumble apart.
Mary Jane had already caught Peter Parker firmly.
Peter struggled to open his eyes, glanced at his beloved in front of him, and then closed them again.
But his slow and steady breathing proved he was not dead—just temporarily unconscious.
"What's going on?"
Miles was completely baffled. Why had Batman suddenly kidnapped Mary Jane, then just as suddenly let her go? Why had he lured out Carnage and then taken care of the major threat?
It was only at this moment that Jessica finally let go of her worries.
She had always trusted that Bruce had a plan, but Batman never shared his plans with them.
Jessica hurried to Bruce's side and helped him up.
The earlier impact from Carnage still required Bruce some time to recover from.
"If you had used my power, all of this would've been over long ago."
The voice of the Red Death echoed in the prison within Bruce's mind once again.
"Hahahaha."
Before Bruce could respond—or any of the other Bats could speak for him—
The Ravager's laughter had already filled every inch of the mental prison.
"You still have faith in him? Haven't you realized it yet? That guy fears us! He fears the power he could obtain! He fears the dark world he might create!"
"He's nothing but a coward!"
"Hahaha!"
"He has the power to change the world, yet he refuses to act."
"All he can do is watch helplessly as the people around him die, one after another!"
"Bruce Wayne!"
"What are you afraid of?!"
The Ravager roared.
Thomas remained silent, but another voice spoke up.
"Aren't you afraid too? You just hide it beneath your rage."
BatBen responded to the Ravager's furious shouts with unnerving calmness.
"You're afraid that your power isn't strong enough—that it won't be enough to kill every super-powered threat in this world."
The words from this Bat plunged the mental prison into silence.
The Ravager said nothing more and simply sat back down.
This brought Bruce a rare moment of peace.
Having too many voices in his head was never a good thing—but at least some of them could quiet the others down.
"You okay?"
Jessica looked at Bruce with concern.
After all, blood was already trickling from the corner of his mouth. It was hard to believe he was completely unharmed.
"I'm fine."
Bruce slowly stood up.
"But our enemies may no longer be just these guys."
Earlier, Bruce had hacked into the surveillance system of the Sanfei Building, and now, alarms were blaring throughout the structure.
A large-scale projection of Spider-Man clones appeared before everyone.
"It looks like Hydra is far crazier than we imagined," Nick Fury remarked as he holstered his firearm.
Watching the footage Bruce had displayed, he truly had no idea what Hydra was planning.
So many Spider-Man clones—moreover, their level of completeness seemed to rival, if not surpass, the clones created by S.H.I.E.L.D.
"I only want Venom," Eddie's voice rang out once again.
"Only—" But before he could finish his sentence, his voice abruptly vanished.
Bruce switched the displayed footage to Hydra's side, revealing an entirely different scene.
Eddie Brock had been killed—executed on the spot.
His killers were none other than Hydra operatives, who even gave a mocking wave toward the surveillance camera Bruce had taken control of.
"Hydra never needed Venom. What Hydra needs is for all of you to die here."
"For Nick Fury, the founder of the Ultimate Alliance, to die here."
"You are just the first. Next, every high-ranking American official will fall at our hands. We will rebuild a new order upon this land."
"Unfortunately, you won't live to see it."
The voice fell silent.
The atmosphere grew heavy.
"We're not going to die here… right?"
For Miles, death was still an incredibly distant concept.
His life had only just begun.
"You will die. Everyone dies. But I can promise you, you won't die here."
Bruce still remembered the promise he had made to Miles' parents—he would return their son to them.
"So—"
Nick Fury was about to say something when another voice suddenly interrupted him.
"Peter, you're awake!"
Mary Jane's voice, filled with joy, echoed in the air.
For everyone present, this was good news—at the very least, they had regained another fighter.
"MJ?" Peter Parker still seemed a bit disoriented. Looking at Mary Jane, who was holding him, he hesitated, as if unsure whether to believe his eyes.
"I thought I saw you being taken by some guy dressed as a bat."
Peter reached out to touch Mary Jane's face, and only when his fingers made contact did he realize that this was no illusion—this was reality.
"It's okay, Peter, it's okay. Everything that happened was just to bring you back."
Mary Jane smiled at the man in her arms—the love of her life. And now, fate had returned him to her side.
"MJ!"
Peter Parker hugged Mary Jane tightly.
For him, this outcome was already perfect.
"As touching as this reunion is, we need to put it on hold. We have a big problem right now."
Bruce stepped forward, facing the reunited couple.
Peter Parker immediately recognized him—this was the guy who had kidnapped Mary Jane earlier.
Just as he was about to lash out, Mary Jane placed a reassuring hand on him.
"Relax, Peter. He's our friend."
