Chapter 83 - A NEW FOREVER.

THIRD PERSON'S POV.

The sun hung playfully in the sky, casting golden rays across the island as Harro and Orion walked hand in hand along the bustling streets of the town. The air was alive with the aromas of fresh pastries and the laughter of passersby. It felt surreal that just days ago, their lives were overshadowed by the specter of Kai's taunts. Now, the weight of that encounter had faded, leaving behind only the warmth of their connection as they continued their vacation.

"We should definitely get those matching sun hats over there." Harro suggested, a playful smile painted across his face, his white hair dancing in the breeze as they stopped in front of a quirky little store, where a variety of colorful hats hung outside like cheerful flowers.

"Are you serious?" Orion chuckled, raising an eyebrow.

"Absolutely," Harro grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

"We would look ridiculous in those!" Orion said chuckling.

"I want everyone to see how ridiculously cute we are together." Harro replied with a bright smile. Orion couldn't help but laugh, that infectious sound spilling from deep within him.

"Alright, Mr. Fashionista.Let's find the perfect ridiculous hats for us." He said playfully making Harro laugh and the two of them wandered deeper into the shop, where the air was filled with the scent of coconut and the soft sound of island music played in the background.

After an amusing debate about what color would be better, they emerged wearing oversized sun hats, Orion's adorned with a wide brim that cast a shadow over his laughing face. Harro's was a bold straw number with a corny slogan—"Island Vibes." Harro's each attempt to style them was met with fits of laughter from Orion, and among Harro's silly poses in front of the shop mirror, the previous strains of their lives faded, replaced by sheer joy.

Later that afternoon, they were back in Akeno's guest house, where the sauna awaited them. Wrapped in soft towels, they nestled against each other on the warm wooden benches, the heat enveloping them like a blissful hug. The soft hum of relaxation surrounded them, and Harro leaned his head against Orion's shoulder, closing his eyes.

"I could stay here forever," Harro said, his voice a tremor above the soft sounds of steam filling the air.

"Me too," Orion murmured, taking a moment to admire Harro's serene expression. There was a vulnerability reflected in his face, a depth that blossomed with trust. "You know, every moment we spend together feels like a piece of something I've always wanted."

Harro opened his eyes, meeting Orion's gaze. "What do you mean?"

"I mean…" Orion struggled to find the right words as the warmth in the air thickened around them. "together, I feel like I'm complete. Being with you makes everything feel better and brighter." he paused when Harro looked at him like he still didn't understand a word he was saying.

"What I'm trying to say is—months ago, my life was chaotic and completely empty because we weren't together," Orion said referring to the period where Harro had an accident and Harro nodded realization dawning on him. "and now…now we're here, together, creating these beautiful memories and it feels like we've never been apart." Orion confessed his voice filled with sincerity.

Harro smiled brightly, the heat of the sauna coloring his cheeks. "I feel the same way. It's like I've known you my whole life, and I never imagined a vacation could be this…perfect."

As the steam swirled around them, Harro leaned in, capturing Orion's lips in a tender kiss. Time slowed, the outside world melting away until it was just the two of them, their hearts beating in sync, echoing the love they had built. Moments like these, so simple yet profound, reminded Harro why they had overcome all obstacles—the connection they shared was unlike anything he had experienced before.

And just like that, the days rolled by in a blissful blur. Their days were filled with leisurely walks on the beach, and Harro's spontaneous dancing under the skies, and whispered conversations while cuddling in their unit's spacious bed. The haunting shadow of Kai remained a thing of the past, swept away with the tides of the ocean, replaced by the joy that filled their days.

Before they knew it, the two weeks slipped away like sand between their fingers. On the morning of their departure, Harro awoke to the soft rays of sunlight peeking through the curtains, warming his skin. He blinked awake to find Orion already out of bed, moving about the room with silent grace, capturing each moment with his joyful energy.

"Good morning, sleepy head," Orion teased, a playful glint lighting up his face as he looked back at Harro.

"Morning, babe" Harro responded stretching his limbs. Smiling at the delightful sight of Orion he added... "I'm trying to soak in every single second before we leave."

"I know," Orion said, his expression turning tender. "I can't believe our vacation is ending. It feels like we just got here."

As they finished packing, the air was bittersweet, filled with the memories of countless sunsets and shared laughter that echoed between them. By the time they walked outside, someone had come for their bags, Aki was there to see them off.

"Back to the real world, huh?" Aki said with a motherly smile. "You two look like you've just come back from a fairytale. Just don't let it end." she added with a smile.

"We won't let it end," Harro replied, his resolve firm.

"We had a wonderful time here Aki. Thanks for everything" Orion added and the older woman smiled shaking her head as she hugged both of them.

"Anything for my sweet boys" she said making them laugh as they kissed her cheeks before bidding her farewell.

The driver took them to the helicopter pad. Soon, they were airborne, the island receding beneath them, a beautiful jewel surrounded by endless blue. Harro felt a mixture of excitement and nostalgia swirl in his chest. Their hearts brimmed with everything they'd shared over the past two weeks and in less than an hour they cruised through the island and were back in Alderan.

Orion's bodyguard appeared as if from thin air, ready for the journey home.

"Good to have you back boss" Orion's bodyguard greeted him before turning to Harro with a small smile, "Good to have you back too, Mr Bishop." he said politely making Harro smile as he leaned into his boyfriend before whispering.

"Did you see that? He doesn't glare at me anymore."Orion chuckled at how happy Harro is because Lee has warmed up to him.

By the time they arrived at their newly redecorated home, Harro's excitement bubbled over. He stepped out to find their house transformed, colors that matched his and Orion's taste and modern designs welcoming them. Marcus and Athena had truly outdone themselves with this one.

"Look at this place!" Harro exclaimed, turning to Orion, who gapping at their home in pure delight.

"Wow, this is incredible! I can't believe how perfect everything turned out!" Orion's eyes sparkled with joy, taking in the new furniture and fresh decor. "I can't believe Marcus came up with this, it's truly amazing."

"It really is," Harro replied, the warmth of gratitude flooding through him. "We need to invite him over for dinner to celebrate when Athena gets back." he said making Orion nod in agreement.

As they walked further inside their home, the light flooded the space, filling the rooms with warmth. Everything felt fresh, newly adorned—a place truly fit for this new stage in their relationship.

Orion led the way upstairs, his excitement obvious as they explored their new home. Harro's home office is now rearranged in such a way that it would accommodate both of them.

Finally, they reached the sanctuary of their bedroom, where a sense of familiarity wrapped around them. Harro moved out of the way as Lee dropped the bags by their door, the feeling of exhaustion catching up to him.

"Wow. What a trip!" Harro exclaimed.

"Honestly, I could take another week," Orion chuckled, flopping backwards onto the bed, his expression blissful.

"Me too," Harro admitted, joining him on the bed, sinking into the soft comfort. Orion turned to face him, a radiant smile lighting his face.

As he lay beside Orion, he felt every worry, every fear, evaporated. This place—this relationship—was exactly where he belonged.

"Promise me something," Orion said softly, shifting to look deeply into Harro's eyes.

"Anything." He replied without hesitation.

"Promise we'll always face whatever comes our way together. You and I are a team, " Orion said, earnestness radiating from him.

"I promise," Harro replied, his heart pounding warmly in his chest. "it'll always be us against the world"

They sealed their promises with a deep kiss that told a thousand words unspoken, the comfort of knowing they were in this together. As a newfound peace enveloped them, they nestled into the comfort of their bed, deciding to take a quick nap before letting the girls know that they were back home.
