(AN: I just realized that I messed up a bit, Cha Hae-In is in the Hunters guild per the cannon event. For this story, lets spice it up a bit and say she got nabbed from the WTG by the Hunters guild in the final quarter of being signed. The reason? Baek smelled worse than Jong-In due to him being more beastly and she went with that... what? She was young and impressionable.. makes sense in my head at least.)

"Gotcha"
The lion stopped hearing that word casually spoken, it didn't understand why there was no fear on this two leg when he was clearly about to beat the brakes off of him. But the lion did not need to wait long to figure out why this two leg was so calm in the face of death.
Whoom
Like a geyser shooting out of the pits of hell, fire came shooting up from under the lions feet. With enough force to destroy the area that it was standing on, the lion was flung up and away from Ahn. Once, twice, three times the lion flipped before hitting the ground with enough force to leave a trench, skidding backwards with the residual impact force.
RAWR
Never before has the lion experienced such embarrassment when engaged in a battle. Not only did he take damage, but most of his mane was missing along side his fur coating. Along his underside was also burns that were already blistering.
[Host, you have angered a strong opponent. The system has noted high amounts of killing intent. Mission being created. Mission being broadcasted]
You can't be serious right now...
[I never joke around Host]
How come you can lie... have you lied to me before...

[Built different]
"Are you guys done over there"
Ahn snapped over to where the lion was lying on it's side picking its teeth casually, as if it didn't just get served up a neat surprise a second ago.
"YOU CAN TALK"
"Umm... Ahem I mean... RAWR..."
Does he think that just fixes it..
"You know what... you're getting killed now, and I'm gonna turn you into a jacket or a throw rug, you overgrown kitty."
ra..w..r..?
Before the lion could create more confusion, Ahn charged into the battle with a ferocious war cry, for a second Ahn had lost the ability to think about the fact that he is a mage. Luck was on his side though, in a moment of inspiration and sheer desperation to teach the overgrown kitty, Ahn learned to move and allocate his stats according to his desires after getting them.
[Skill: Stat Allocation (Passive) Learned]
Oh... nice.. put all Int points into Strength and 22 Health points into Agility..
[Allocating Stat Points]
[Strength: 96 Agility: 74]
With a burst of speed that the lion couldn't follow Ahn hit him with a two hit combo that stunned him long enough for Ahn to grab hold of the lions mane. With herculean effort he tossed the lion over his shoulders for a German Supplex completely shattering the lions spinal chord while crushing its ribs, effectively killing it.
[Level Up]
[Mana/HP Restored To 100%]
"That was exhilarating, I guess luck was on my side with that ability to shift around my stat points. Though it seems like I have to consciously keep those numbers locked in or they revert back... but that doesn't seem like a downside once I get used to it.. almost like pressing a button to use an ability, after a while I won't even have to think about it."
Ahn looked down at his watch to make sure that he would have enough time to get back home and change so that he could go do his daily mission with Jin-Woo. Speaking of which, he should either be done or close to being done with his first dungeon. Once he breaks into B or A rank, he'll bring him out here to power level.
Should I let Jin-Woo meet up with Jinho or should he just take him in himself for the benefits... speaking of which.. isn't Jinho's cousin a model or something, ehehe
[Host, you're smile is creepy]
"Okay that's it. Back to being ignored you go... fkin system, can't a guy imagine having a model for a girlfriend without being judged? When did the world become so cruel..!?"
[...]
Having finished hunting at the first of the five potential sites, Ahn decided to call it a night and go get some sleep seeing as he had went up about 10 levels. For one night it was a good deal, since he thought it would take all five to go up even 1 level considering he started out as an A ranker. But since the system was modeled after one meant for an E rank, that meant that among cheat systems, he got the most broken since the XP needed to rank up was a lot smaller than what his actual rank would usually demand.
I guess the world could be more cruel... I shouldn't complain. Imagine all the people that would kill to be in my spot... *sigh* It is what it is

"How are the preparations coming along"
A mysterious figure sitting on a throne asked the person in front of him in a kneeling position.
"All goes well sire. The hosts have been picked and we are getting ready for transportation. Though some of them have insisted that we try and find hosts for their subordinates so that they can move more freely in preparation for your coming."
"Hmmm, they demand that I exert more of my powers to allow for cannon fodder to enter that place..."
"Sire, we are here to only serve you... e.. everything we do is so your influence may reach those lower life forms for your viewing pleasure."
The mysterious figure didn't respond right away. He knew what needed to be done, but that didn't mean that he could be demanded or asked to do things by his subordinates. No matter how powerful they may think themselves, they were still below him. Why else would he send them instead of going himself, the power needed to open a hole that wide into a lower plane was too much at this moment.
"Humph, see to it that the necessary soldiers are sent. Until the time comes we can move there ourselves, even cannon fodder can serve a purpose for us."
"As you command sire."
The being got off his throne and walked out all the while his subordinate kept his eyes on the ground. Looking up meant certain death, knowing that the subordinate kept his posture in a submissive position, trying to appear as small as possible. When the mysterious figure walked past him, he could feel his whole existence being squeezed just from the pressure of the mana that the figure held.
"Make sure you let the ones preparing to go know that failure is not an option. Our advanced party is almost there and we cannot afford for our main force to be caught unaware of any potential threats. Send some of our personal scouts ahead as well, keeping a line of communication will be tough as we stand now, I would rather not be blind and deaf to the coming war we shall wage."
The subordinate tried to speak up in acknowledgement, but the grip of the mana pouring out of his master was simply too much. Through sweat and a lot of effort, he managed to nod in understanding. Before he knew it both his master and the pressure disappeared from his senses.
Gasp
With deep breaths the subordinate got up and walked to the exit of the throne room. With a final bow towards the empty throne, he opened and exited the room.

Seoul - WTG
Ahn made his way through his department with a happy mood, after his morning workout with Jin-Woo where he found that he'd leveled up to the same rank as a C-rank, Ahn was in a great mood. His plan of acquiring the greatest hunter in the world was going smoothly. Being a department head at one of the largest guilds had afforded him certain pleasures, so moving Jin-Woos mother into a better room and paying off his medical bills were very easy. This had made Jin-Woo into both an ally and someone that felt indebted to him.
Ahn had to on many occasions tell Jin-Woo that he didn't require payment outside of loyalty was getting old, but in this world of dog-eat-dog, he could see why Jin-Woo was a bit hesitant to believe that Ahn didn't have ulterior motives.
Not like I don't, but it will benefit us both.. so its a win-win-win
The other thing he understood was what the system meant by he was inheriting a major character's powers. He should have realized it from the beginning but the only two characters that were confirmed to be dead currently of that level were Baran and the Absolute Being. The thing that gave away which character he was tailored after was the skill - Akashic Records. It seemed like when he leveled it up completely, it would enable him to have any skill he desired while maintaining a record of his domain, which once he gains his powers would be the entire universe or multi-verses he would control. That is if what he'd read of Ragnarök was to be accurate.
"Good morning Division Chief"
"Good morning team, what's on the agenda today?"
Even though he planned to split from this guild, it didn't mean that he wasn't going to keep doing his job for now.
"We have a couple of C rank and B rank dungeons up for auction outside our usual area. Though there seems to be fierce competition with the Hunters guild for them."
"Gawd, those bastards piss me off"
Who the heck is that random guy... if anyone should be mad, it should be me.. they stole an S-rank right from under my nose..
Firing up his computer, Ahn looked into the gates that were open for auction. For those near their compound it was easy to tag them for his team, well those that were in the range of C to low A rank. The D and E ranks were auctioned off to smaller guilds in the area based on their standing with the WTG, those more favored would get discounts, but those who were not would be charged more.
This was a way for major guilds to build up their reputation among the hunter society. Having the backs of these smaller guilds showed that they weren't just motivated by money and status but were doing their best to keep their world safe through cooperation. Even though most hunters were motivated by simply hunting and releasing their built up energy, being paid for it and having super star statuses didn't hurt either.
This world is a lot more than what was in the manhwa for sure..
"Okay, lets put forth 10% more than what they are asking of us from the HA and see if we can secure the ones closest to us first. Then lets follow that up with a 5% increment per 1000 meters from those locations. Go up to 35% for the furthest ones, but don't go higher than that unless they are A rank or higher, make sure we aren't double dipping against our 1st Division. I'm talking to you Ms. Hana, you almost cost us an arm and a leg last week."
"Copy"
"Yes Sir"
"On it"
And other various responses came in from his team. Being able to secure higher ranked dungeons that the 1st Division didn't have time for or notice came with a bigger commission for his team so he made sure to let them know in advanced. Even though there was a fierce competition between the two Divisions, that didn't mean that they wouldn't work together for the benefit of the guild when it came down to it. Plus bragging rights do come into play when they all go out for company wide happy hours.
