You didn't even have time to scream. Not before a helicopter swooped in and grabbed both you and Bucky.
"Bucky, what the heck!?" You scream.
He gives you a sad smile and looks away.
"Bucky. Please. That was the one place I was actually happy at. Please take me back."
Bucky glanced towards the pilot of the helicopter. He was staring out the front, not paying attention.
"Bye." He whispers.
You stare at him.
"What do you mean?" You ask before he shoves you out the side of the helicopter.
Pov Switch: Loki
Where had (Y/n) gone? Loki had searched the entire building, just looking for you. Every inch had led to disappointment when you were not there.
Part of him wanted to cry. The other part wanted to scream bloody murder. All of the Avengers were looking for you, but none as much as Loki was.
All he wanted to do was find you. That was it. Find you and hold you till death came to him. Loki's heart ached for you in the same way a husband aches for his dead wife. But you weren't dead. Right?
No, you couldn't be. There was no way on Midgrad that you were dead. If you were, then Loki's head would be silent. It wouldn't be singing the song that you two share.
Sippin' on straight chlorine
Lovin' what I'm tastin'
Venom on my tongue
Dependent at times
Poisonous vibrations
Help my body run
I'm runnin' for my life
Runnin' for my life
Sippin' on straight chlorine
Let the vibe slide over me
This beat is a chemical
Beat is a chemical
Something about knowing you were still alive sent a wave of relief through Loki. Everything would be okay as soon as you were found.
While lost in thought, Loki had made it back into the room that both of you had been in just 12 hours before. As he glances around, he sees no signs of struggle and just an open window.
An open window.
How could Loki have been so stupid?
He walked over to the window and looked out as far as he could. It's not like he would be able to see anything at this point since (Y/n) and whoever the other person had been were most likely long gone.
Then he saw what looked like a lifeless lump just outside the compound grounds. No. It couldn't be. But was it?
Loki raced out of his room and sprinted down the stairs to reach the bottom floor.
"Brother, where are you heading?" Thor called out as Loki passed him.
He ignored him and kept running. Only one thing was running through his mind right now: you. He wanted to get to you, hold you, and never let you go.
Loki's feet had never hurt so much. Every step was a new wave of agonizing pain. The fear of you being dead had arisen and become part of his every thought. You had to be okay.
Soon, the other Avengers had begun to follow Loki. They could all tell that something was wrong. Especially with the fierce look in his eyes. Like life and death depended on whatever he was running to.
Everyone reached the end of the compound property.
"What is it?" Tony asked as Loki stopped suddenly.
He just pointed ahead.
About 7 yards away, a lifeless heap that looked like it could be a person was lying among the tall grass. Blood was coating everything. Even from so far away, you could smell the tangy blood.
Tony frowned. Who was it? None of the Avengers were missing. The only person it could be....
No.
No.
No.
It wasn't possible. You couldn't be dead. (Y/n) could not be dead.
But the body just proved that she was. Loki stumbled over to the lifeless body, hoping what he thought wasn't true. The Avengers followed him with a cloud of worry following close behind.
Loki reached out and turned it facing up. (Y/n) was dead. Your (Y/e/c) had become dim as if someone had turned a light out. Your beautiful lips were parted in a scream. Every inch of your hair had become a deep red from the blood.
At this point, everyone was crying. Well, almost everyone. Some had barely known you, and Vision could not cry. Loki was the worst off. He could barely move, barely breathe, he couldn't even think. He had thought that you were the one. The one that he would love forever. But that wasn't what was meant to be.
Pov Switch: You
Bucky smiles wickedly at you.
"I told you it would work." He whispers into your hair.
"And you were right." You say in disbelief.
You were, in fact, not dead. Every part of you was still functioning and working like it would in any normal person. All that had happened was that HYDRA had made a body double so that the Avengers would not look for you.
"Why did I agree to go along with this?" You ask.
"Because the Avengers were just using you. They wanted a way to get into HYDRA, and they were using that Loki dude against you."
You nod. It made sense. But why had they been so hesitant at the start? If they truly had wanted her as a link to HYDRA, couldn't they have just not locked her in a cell?
Somebody was definitely lying, and you had no idea who.
