Ha-Joon stood before the Hangure family's grand estate, his eyes scanned over the old, yet imposing gate. Previously, he had swiftly sent gun to the South Korea from the boat fray before arriving here.
If he had wanted, he could have dealt Shintaro in one fell of sweep, but he chose to bide his time and let gun deal with Shintaro, and chose to start from the Hangure family.
If he had dealt with Shintaro, then gun wouldn't have the reason to go Korea and if Gun had not gone to Korea, he could not take Charles in his plan. so he ignored the Yamazaki family completely and came to sweep the Hangure family.
(A/N: Here, Ha-Joon will subtly use gun to indirectly involve Charles in his plan.)
Ha-Joon had only one objective at coming here: to rule, to prove his strength, and to impose his will over the entire clan. He had no allies, only his own resolve to drive him forward.
And this was the day he would claim his rightful place as the family head.
The clan had been in turmoil for some time, after Somi informed about Ha-Joon's return. After the former head of the family's departure, the Hangure family's leadership had been left in limbo.
And the family higher-up seeing the opportunity to grasp power for themselves, choose to dismiss the head position. In their power vacuum, there was only one clear truth: the strongest would reign.
Inside the grand hall, the remaining higher-ups of the family gathered in a tense silence. They had heard of Ha-Joon's return and choose to discuss it with all the elite members.
As Ha-Joon entered, his scanned the the elites of the family, the higher-ups exchanged silent glances and prepare to face the imminent battle. Park Somi quietly stood on the side, completely unfazed by the growing tension.
"Ha-Joon," one of the senior members spoke first, his voice tinged with arrogance: "You've finally returned to the lowly clan, such as ours rather than your Yamazaki clan. And no one has dared to take the position of the head since the fall of previous head, and now you think you can simply walk in and take it?"
Ha-Joon's response was simple, his voice steady yet cold: "I didn't came to negotiate with you all. I came to take what's mine." He paused briefly and continued: "And haven't I told you all to prepare for the welcome of new head.?
The senior member sneered. "You have no claim here. You are nothing more than a young man who was once taken in by Shintaro, severing the ties with the Family."
Ha-Joon's eyes narrowed. His hands, which had endured countless hours of conditioning, flexed at his sides.
He leaped towards the babbling senior executive, performing a swift kick landing straight at the executive's face, sending him crashing at the wall.
"I don't like the way you speak, watch your tone from now on." spoke Ha-Joon as he swiftly landed on the ground.
The room, once tense instantly broke in an all out battle.
The first opponent lunged, his fists flying toward Ha-Joon in a blur. Ha-Joon's gaze sharpened, and he stepped inside the man's reach with perfect timing. A sharp Kyoukushin knee strike crushed into the man's ribs before a spinning elbow smashed into his temple, sending him sprawling to the ground. Ha-Joon didn't spare him a second glance.
The others didn't hesitate and lunged towards him. Two more attacked simultaneously, one aiming for his legs with a sweeping kick, the other coming in high with a heavy punch.
Ha-Joon reacted instinctively, shifting into Taekwondo. He jumped, twisting his body mid-air in a flawless aerial kick that knocked the high attacker's head back, before landing lightly and countering the sweep with a snap kick to the kneecap. The man let out a choked scream as he collapsed.
A brawler roared as he charged in, aiming to grapple Ha-Joon and bring him to the ground. But Ha-Joon's mastery was beyond brute force. He twisted his body in a Capoeira movement, his hands barely touching the floor as his leg came up in a reverse spinning kick. The brawler never saw it coming. The impact sent him tumbling backward, his balance completely broken.
The remaining higher-ups hesitated. They had expected him to be strong, but hadn't expected him to reach a threshold at a young age.
One of the strongest among them, a veteran fighter named Ryuji, narrowed his eyes. He was not one to sit back and watch. Drawing a short blade from his side, he stepped forward and spoke: "Enough hesitating and fight back."
Ryuji struck first, the blade flashing through the air. Ha-Joon leaned back just enough to let it pass before twisting his hips and launching a devastating sidekick. Ryuji barely blocked it, the impact forcing him back a step.
Ha-Joon's eyes glowed and advanced, switching into Kyoukushin's bone-crushing strikes. A low kick struck Ryuji's calf, disrupting his stance, followed by a rapid punch to the ribs. But Ryuji was experienced. He twisted away, slashing at Ha-Joon's arm, grazing his skin, as blood dripped onto the floor.
Ryuji came in again, but this time, Ha-Joon moved differently. He stepped inside the strike at the perfect moment, using a soft redirection from Aikido before twisting into a Capoeira sweep that took Ryuji off his feet. Before the man could react, Ha-Joon was already above him, his knee pressing against his throat.
The room fell silent. Ha-Joon stared down at Ryuji, with his eyes glowing in pink hue. Then, he spoke, his voice laced with contempt: "So much for a veteran only to get defeated."
Ryuji groaned, he hesitated and finally spoke: "We surrender."
One by one other quickly followed him to surrender. They had no choice, even if they chose to retaliate, Ha-Joon would have knocked them out. Previously, they had judged Ha-Joon's strength as average which quickly led to the current situation.
So, they simply chose to surrender after Ryuji.
He turned to face the silent hall. "From now on, the Hangure clan follows me. And you will inform all the gangs across our region to integrate in the family and make them gather fund legally, if they want to remain intact, that is. And don't alert Yamazaki for now"
One of the higher ups named Arata, briefly hesitated and spoke nervously: "Sir, We could help you to gather fund. But do we truly need to integrate the locals?"
Ha-Joon shot him a glare: "Do as I say."
The hall quickly became silent as they processed the order imposed by Ha-Joon. They didn't want to take the outsider in their family, yet were afraid of Ha-Joon's wrath. And Ha-Joon being who he is, simply didn't care about the non-family policy and directly order them to increase manpower in the shortest time possible.
Ha-Joon looked over Somi and motioned: "Come with me."
Having said that, he moved towards the exit followed by Park Somi. Ha-Joon mind slowly drifted towards his thought while moving.
South Korea... 1st generation Kings.... Now this is will be interesting.
