Chapter 47: If You Want to Fight, Just Say It Early
Rigor clenched his fist and looked at the enraged Vegeta, a teasing smile curling his lips. "Now... it's time for you to give up your position as prince!"
"Hmph... What a bunch of nonsense!!" Vegeta's forehead was dotted with cold sweat. This so-called brother of his felt even more terrifying than facing Syn Shenron.
Watching the babbling Rigor, Lin Qi tilted his head, treating it as a show. This guy sure talked a lot...
Was it because of the long separation that he was overly excited?
"Hmph, you have no idea how strong my husband is. He's the legendary warrior!"
Seeing Vegeta's roaring, Separi spoke disdainfully, joining the verbal fight. "It's all your fault we were abandoned..."
"What does that have to do with me, damn it..." Veins bulged on Vegeta's forehead as he swept a disdainful glance at Separi. "Men are talking. Why are you, a woman, interrupting?"
"Hah..." Finally, half an hour later, Lin Qi let out his sixth yawn. With the others arriving, the verbal battle officially ended.
"Cut the nonsense! We're here for revenge!" Separi stepped back, creating distance between herself and the two.
Vegeta glared coldly at Rigor, assuming a battle stance. "If you want to fight, just say it early!"
"Rigor... What a meaningless name... Father really gave you a fitting name!"
"Ugh..." Lin Qi raised an eyebrow at Vegeta in surprise. This guy just had to get a jab in, even verbally.
"A fight? Heh, I want in too!" The moment Goku heard that, he got excited, eager to join in.
For Goku, it didn't matter if he didn't understand the specifics. As long as there was a fight and a chance to spar, he was all in!
"Get lost! This is my fight!" Vegeta turned around and yelled at Goku, before letting out a roar and transforming into his Super Saiyan 4 form.
"What's going on?" Trunks, who arrived halfway, was confused and turned to Goku and Lin Qi for answers.
"Oh... that guy's called Rigor. He says he's Vegeta's brother!" Goku folded his hands behind his head, sighing as he made a casual remark.
"What? Uncle Vegeta's brother?" Gohan was also shocked, looking at Rigor with a complex expression.
He still remembered his dad's brother from his childhood... That was a story too complicated to sum up!
As Gohan looked at Rigor, Piccolo turned to look at Gohan. Back then, Gohan had been just a tiny kid!
Ah, those were the days that couldn't be revisited...
"Too bad he's a wreck..." Piccolo's gaze shifted back to the battlefield as he sighed.
Pan tilted her head in confusion. "Grandpa Piccolo, what are you talking about?"
"Pan, haven't you been going to school?" Goten looked at Pan, who was holding Giru, and asked a surprising question.
"...I skipped class!!" Three black lines slid down Pan's forehead. Why ask such a thing at a time like this?
On the battlefield.
Seeing Vegeta transform into Super Saiyan 4, Rigor seemed a bit surprised. He smirked playfully. "Didn't expect your strength to be this decent..."
"It's really surprising—Super Saiyan 4, huh!"
His compliment quickly turned into a sneer. "But... that's all it is!"
"Hmph, you won't be saying that for long..." Sweat slid down Vegeta's forehead as he charged toward Rigor.
Even if he knew he couldn't win, he absolutely couldn't lose in terms of spirit!
Especially when this concerned the pride of the Saiyan prince!
Rigor remained utterly calm as he watched Vegeta charge at him. "If that's all the power you've got, I'm afraid you'll be scared stiff by me!"
"Shut up!"
Vegeta swung his fist, repeatedly striking at Rigor. Yet Rigor didn't fight back, simply dodging calmly and leisurely.
"If the fight ends too quickly, wouldn't that be boring?" Rigor taunted as he dodged.
"Damn it!"
Vegeta's punches seemed swift and powerful, but every strike hit nothing but air. This infuriated the proud Saiyan prince.
"Damn you... Are you looking down on me?" Vegeta pushed off the ground again, his fists swinging faster than before, slicing through the air with a sharp, whistling sound.
"That guy... is strong!" Goku's expression turned serious as he watched the battle unfold.
"Mm..." Lin Qi responded casually, placing his hands on his hips. "Vegeta can't beat him."
"Goten, Pan..." Goku turned to the two. "You'd better go back. The battles here are too dangerous..."
"You won't be able to handle it. Trunks too! Gohan, take them back!"
"Huh... Why..." Pan's face instantly filled with grievance as she pleaded pitifully. "Grandpa, I want to stay with you!"
Piccolo shot a cold glance at Pan. "Don't be willful, and don't cause trouble!"
"Hmph... I can take care of myself..." Pan muttered reluctantly, but Gohan ultimately dragged her away.
Once everyone had left, Goku seemed to relax. He cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted at Vegeta, who was on the battlefield.
"Vegeta, want me to take over?"
"Damn it..." Vegeta created distance between himself and Rigor, hovering in mid-air as he clenched his fists angrily. "You're just dodging! Is that all you can do—put on a show?"
"If that's what you think, then I'll grant your wish..." Rigor sneered and smirked.
In the next instant, Rigor's figure suddenly disappeared from where he stood.
Before Vegeta could even react, he felt a heavy blow to his abdomen.
Rigor reappeared in front of him, raising a knee to strike.
"Bang!"
"Ugh..." Vegeta's body instinctively curled up from the heavy blow, and before he could spit out the blood rising in his throat—
Rigor followed up with a punch to Vegeta's cheek, sending him flying like an arrow, blood spraying from his mouth.
Vegeta crashed through several snow-capped mountains in succession before finally falling to the ground, buried deep beneath the snow.
"Hahaha... What a weakling!" Rigor laughed heartily, crossing his arms as he shifted his gaze to Goku and Lin Qi.
"I am the true Saiyan prince! Bow down and pay homage to your prince, you low-class warriors!"
"Ugh..." Lin Qi hadn't expected the fire to turn on him. Rigor was truly insufferable.
"No way... Vegeta was defeated in a single blow..." Piccolo's eyes widened in disbelief at the scene before him.
"Vegeta..." Goku looked toward the distant snow-capped mountain with some concern, wondering how Vegeta was faring.
