At dinner time, Leo suddenly leaned over in front of Freya, wearing a flattering expression.

"What are you doing?" Freya asked warily.

Leo picked up the Little Mouse that was lying on Freya's head, diligently stroking her tuft of hair, and then said seriously, "Tell me, if someone bullies you, shouldn't you bully them back?"

Freya answered without even thinking, "You should tell the teacher!"

Leo coaxed patiently, "What if your teacher isn't around? Look, those Wild Boar Men bullied you, and your teacher couldn't even help at all. Shouldn't you bully them back?"

Hearing this, Freya curled up her chubby body, drew her four limbs close together, looked down submissively, glanced around, and stammered, "But, but, I'm just a weak marmot!"

Leo got angry, "Aren't you a giant bear? You have to stand up yourself!"

Freya lowered her head and refused to speak, looking like a pupil who had made a mistake.

"I don't need you to fight either. You just do like this..."

Leo told his plan.

"Can we send someone else? Little Mouse, you go!"

Freya was still reluctantly trying to shirk when her extra-large wheat cake was already baked.

Leo snatched the wheat cake as big as a pot lid and took a huge bite, taking a piece that was about one percent of the cake.

"Are you going or not?"

"Fine, I'll go!" Freya quickly agreed. Hugging her beloved wheat cake and looking at the small bite mark on it, she felt so heartbroken that tears welled up.

After dinner, Leo gathered fifty militiamen of River Bend Territory and detailed his plan.

The militiamen already knew about the existence of the Wild Boar Men. During this period, the imaginary target for their combat drills was mainly the Wild Boar Men.

But the sudden order to launch an active attack still made them hesitate and be timid.

They weren't born as aggressive bandits or robbers, but they were just a group of farmers who had only recently put down their hoes. If it weren't for the day and night drills and commands of Ulyan and Leo, they probably wouldn't even dare to provoke the kobolds.

Although Leo had exaggerated the threat of the Wild Boar Men, these ordinary militiamen didn't want to face the threat without seeing it with their own eyes.

"Trust me. As long as you follow my orders, this battle isn't dangerous. Just think of it as a real combat training."

"If you win and come back, you'll have meat every meal."

Leo tried his best to encourage them, but with little effect.

Ulyan, who was standing beside, couldn't stand it any longer. He stepped onto the stage and let out a roar, "A bunch of cowards! What's there to be afraid of about the Wild Boar Men? I could kill a whole nest by myself even back then! All of you, get your courage up! Kill one Wild Boar Man and you'll be rewarded with one mu (a traditional Chinese unit of area) of land! Those who don't want to go, get out of the militia!"

With Ulyan's promise and threat, the militiamen finally perked up a bit.

Early the next morning, Leo led Freya and the militia away from the settlement camp, planning to swim across the river from the upstream.

Before setting off, Leo asked Olivia to burn the bonfire in the settlement camp to its maximum to act as a signal, lest the Wild folk shouldn't notice their movements.

Before they even crossed the river, a large group of kobolds emerged from the forest.

The militiamen almost thought that it was an enemy attack and instinctively raised their shields and huddled together.

Fisa, who was leading them, shouted, "We, the kobolds, also want to join the battle!"

"Neighbors! Allies! The Wild Boar Men are the enemies!"

"You guys?" Leo frowned and looked over at them. He really didn't think much of them.

There aren't many warriors left among the kobolds. Although the ordinary adult Golden Retriever Kobolds have been fed until they are shiny and sleek during this period and look much more presentable.

But the more presentable they look, the less combat power they seem to have. Instead, they just look stupid and simple-minded.

The kobolds brought by Fisa number as many as sixty or seventy. All of them are equipped with self-made small wooden shields, slings, and short spears. Their weapons and equipment are much more sophisticated than before.

This force represents all the combat power of Kobold Valley. It's as if they're ready to abandon their home without hesitation.

"Alright, keep your distance and follow my orders. Got it?"

Following the principle that more is better, Leo didn't reject Fisa's request to join the battle.

Dozens of kobolds throwing stones and short spears from the side would be some help.

But Leo didn't dare to let the kobolds mix into the militia formation. He had seen the combat will of the kobolds.

What if they were slightly intimidated by the wild boar men and fled at the slightest sign of danger? They might cause the militia to collapse.

"Okay." Fisa wagged her tail quickly.

Watching Fisa excitedly lead the kobolds to catch up with the militia, the militiaman Ivan beside him asked in a low, gloomy voice, "Are we really going to join forces with the kobolds?"

"What? Do you have a problem with that?"

"My older brother was stabbed and killed by kobolds." Ivan said in a low voice.

Leo was stunned. He patted Ivan on the shoulder but couldn't find any words to comfort him.

The wild boar men's tribe is said to be more than thirty li away from River Bend. In fact, the actual distance is even farther. This is after Leo had explored and scouted the route in advance and tried to pick the straightest and easiest path.

Halfway there, Leo saw Bjorn with several wild folk hunters standing on a huge rock beside the only way they must pass, sizing up the advancing militia.

Apparently, the number of the militia failed to satisfy this wild folk hunter. When Leo got closer, Bjorn said, "Such a small number of people won't be able to break into the lair of the wild boar men, nor can they stop the charge of the wild boar men."

"I know. You just need to be responsible for shooting arrows. If the battle situation goes against us, just retreat."

Leo replied confidently, and then asked, "Can you and your men clear the wild boar men's scouts in front and try not to let them detect our movements?"

Bjorn looked at him for a long time before nodding. With a wave of his hand, he and his companions disappeared into the forest.

Leo led the militia forward for another seven or eight li and came to a valley before he told the main force to stop.

He looked around and muttered to himself, "This is the place."

"Freya, time to get to work!"

...

A few hours later, Freya, covered in mud, appeared outside the wild boar men's lair.

She moved forward furtively, stopping and starting, sneaking along.

But the one-meter or half-meter-high stones in front of the wild boar men's lair couldn't hide her huge figure at all.

The wild boar men on guard were in a state of panic. Half a month had passed, and that huge beast was here again!

"What should we do?" A wild boar man whispered to the squad leader beside him.

"Just pretend you haven't seen it and wait for it to leave on its own," the wild boar man squad leader had no other choice. "Go and inform the chief quickly."

Except for one wild boar man who left in a hurry, a group of wild boar men just looked up at the sky as if they didn't notice the presence of the marmot.

Seeing that the wild boar men ignored her, Freya was worried. She looked around and suddenly her eyes lit up. She took a few steps forward and picked up a boulder the size of a millstone with both claws.

She picked up the rock, spun around twice on the spot, and then swung the rock in a full circle and threw it out.

The heavy rock was hurled high into the air, flying over a distance of more than a hundred meters before landing on the watchtower of the Wild Boar Man's lair.

The huge rock was imbued with terrifying power and directly smashed the entire watchtower to pieces. The Wild Boar Man standing guard on it was sent flying and plummeted down screaming.

[Marmot-Force Catapult]!

The Wild Boar Man chief, who had rushed over in a hurry, originally intended to hold his temper. However, upon seeing this, he couldn't contain himself any longer and roared, "Charge out and kill it!"

The Wild Boar Man's lair suddenly became bustling. Nearly a hundred Wild Boar Man warriors and hunters, driving more than twenty one-horned tusker boars, swarmed out towards Freya outside the camp.

Seeing that her goal had been achieved, Freya didn't hesitate at all. She let out a series of loud yells and started running away at full speed.

After running for more than ten meters, she suddenly remembered that she was a marmot. She quickly scampered down onto all fours and ran at top speed, disappearing into the forest in a flash.
