"Crunch! Panther King!"
Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez snarled as a dark figure materialized before him in an instant. With a deafening roar, he activated his Resurrección: Pantera.
The moment his transformation was complete, his body flickered into an afterimage, launching himself backward at breakneck speed.
"Pfft—"
A mouthful of crimson blood burst from Grimmjow's lips. The two jagged blades extending from his arms shattered into dust under the sheer force of the impact.
Byakuya Kuchiki and Kisuke Urahara stood frozen in shock, silently observing the scene before them.
Both were confident in their ability to defeat Grimmjow, but it would require considerable effort. Yet, the overwhelming power Aaron had displayed after unleashing his Bankai was beyond anything they had anticipated.
With a few seemingly effortless swings of his blade, two formidable Arrancar had been reduced to nothing—disintegrating into the wind as mere specks of ash.
Even Kuchiki Kōga, known for his strange and unpredictable attack methods, couldn't help but stare.
If his abilities were considered bizarre, then what was Aaron?
Inside the Urahara Shop, every spectator gazed skyward, their expressions frozen in disbelief. Their thoughts ground to a halt, unable to process the magnitude of the power before them.
"Tessai, what realm has he reached?"
Tessai Tsukabishi removed his glasses slowly, murmuring with a solemn expression.
Aside from Yoruichi Shihouin, even Ichigo Kurosaki and the others were struck with an existential sense of dread, questioning their own strength in the face of such an overwhelming presence.
Grimmjow barely managed to steady himself, gasping for breath. His widened eyes fixated on the figure in the distance, his mind racing for a strategy.
For years, he had prided himself on his power, his unshakable confidence leading him to challenge even the likes of Aizen Sosuke. Deep down, a sliver of defiance always burned within him.
But today—
One strike. Just one strike had left him humiliated in his fully-released form.
How could this happen? How could his desire to prove himself to Aizen and the Espada lead him to such a nightmare?
"Is that all you've got?" Aaron's voice carried across the battlefield, tinged with disappointment. He shook his head with a smirk.
"The reiatsu barrier… it's been obliterated. This is bad."
Grimmjow clenched his fists as realization struck. His mind flashed back to the strange occurrences in Hueco Mundo—the inexplicable destruction, Aizen's battered state upon returning to Las Noches.
A chilling thought crept into his mind—Aizen had lost.
And now, Grimmjow had nowhere to run. His only option was to fight with everything he had.
"Gahh—!!"
With a furious roar, he clenched his palm, forcing out a mass of blood as he gathered his remaining reiatsu for a final stand.
Sensing imminent danger, Kuchiki Kōga instinctively shouted, "Sensei! Be careful!"
Standing beside him, Urahara Kisuke merely chuckled. "Kōga, your concern is unnecessary."
His voice was calm, yet carried an air of finality.
"The man before us is not the same teacher we once knew."
"Even Yamamoto Genryūsai suffered grievous wounds at his hands. Who in this world could possibly stand against him now?"
Kuchiki Kōga fell silent, his lips curling into a helpless smile. "I understand, Urahara. I really do."
He exhaled slowly. "I just… I can't help but worry. It's instinct."
"After all, without our teacher, I would still be suffering under the blood seal in that remote mountain."
Urahara patted him on the shoulder, both turning their attention back to Grimmjow.
…
A brilliant blue orb of energy expanded in Grimmjow's hand, radiating an aura of destruction.
Aaron remained composed, gazing at him with an indifferent smile, as if this battle held no significance to him.
"Is that… Cero?"
Urahara's keen eyes observed the intensifying light with interest.
"This isn't an ordinary Cero. The energy output is far greater," Kuchiki Kōga remarked in astonishment.
"Die!!!"
Grimmjow howled, hurling the cyan blast forward with everything he had.
As the Cero left his hand, his claws elongated, and ten razor-sharp blue energy blades formed along his arms.
"Pfft."
His body flickered, vanishing into a streak of blue light as he charged straight toward Aaron, his attacks synchronized with the destructive blast.
Aaron watched the incoming attack and muttered to himself, "Gran Rey Cero? Interesting."
In a blink, the devastating blue light was upon him.
Grimmjow's eyes gleamed with hope. He hadn't expected his opponent to remain motionless, making no effort to dodge.
Maybe—just maybe—he had a chance.
He clenched his teeth, preparing to strike with his Leopard King's Claws, aiming to maximize the damage.
"Hsssss—"
A sizzling noise filled the air as Aaron slowly raised his Zanpakutō.
Yet, the anticipated explosion never came.
The Gran Rey Cero, brimming with devastating energy, deflated like a punctured balloon. The violent reiatsu within it dissipated, absorbed entirely into Aaron's black blade.
"What…?"
"My Cero… was absorbed?"
"How is that even possible?"
The spectators at the Urahara Shop gasped in disbelief.
In a final, desperate motion, Grimmjow reached Aaron, his blue energy blades slicing toward his opponent's head.
"Crack—"
A sharp fracturing sound echoed as his blades shattered upon contact.
Grimmjow's pupils shrank in horror.
"What kind of Hierro is this…?"
"And that red vein pattern—how…?"
Aaron's metallic arms gleamed under the light. He spoke softly, his smile fading.
"This? Just Hierro and Blut Vene."
The last remnants of Grimmjow's strength drained from his body as his vision blurred. His life force slipped away, his body crumbling into dust before being carried off by the wind.
In that moment, behind Aaron, a black void silently tore open.
