Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 : Slain the beast(1)

Kyoko rides Helias at the highest speed, followed by Reinhard behind. She was freaked out. Actually, she doesn't expect HIS BROTHER, who refused to be BAIT for fucking monster, actually, the one who moved out to the front lines!!

That stupid bastard!!

"Reinhard, you can pull your dragon sword?" She asked out of the blue.

"No. I try it. Seems like this monster was unworthy in the dragon sword's eyes." Reinhard answered calmly, trying to match a speed with his lady.

"That picky sword... Who the heck created that dumb sword!!? I thought it was useful for this fight!!"

"You can ask the Sword God when you die."

Kyoko blinked several times, looking at Reinhard's stoic reaction. Is that a joke or... He is actually serious? No, She doesn't think Reinhard likes making dark jokes at this important time.

"Troops!!! FIRE!!!"

As soon as the expedition members heard Crusch's urgent shout, the night banisher unleashed a brilliant beam over the White Whale—perhaps even higher than the colossal creature itself—creating a dazzling light strong enough to blind anything in its path.

When they open their eyes, finally, they can see clearly the true appearance of the White Whale. A monster that destroys many lives, up 50 meters in white whale form. As a witchbeast, it's common to have horns on their forehead.

The White Whale noticed Subaru's presence; more precisely, it could smell a witch scent from him. The beast turned around and chased him at the highest speed.

"That's so fucking fast!!!"

Swoosh!!!

A large wind slash landed on the White Whale, making the beast taken aback by that attack. It's come from Cursch's sword skill, One Blow, One Hundred Felled. This is followed by a thousand light blasts that are sent by mages, The White Whale screaming in pain.

"Awwoooooo!!!!

The monster changes its focus on the armies that hurt it. It swimming in speed towards them, ready to ambush this small creature.

"DISPERSE!!"

The whole army split up to escape from the White Whale. Right after they moved, three Earth dragons ran straight to the White Whale instead of escaping.

Wilhelm in the front lines, Kyoko in the middle, and Reinhard in the back.

It's time for them to take the spotlight!

"Teleportation!" Kyoko vanished from her seat on the Helias; the dragon immediately realized his master had disappeared, taking a U-turn to leave the field in relaxation.

She reappeared atop the colossal head of the White Whale, wielding a massive hammer that seemed almost too big for her, a fierce grin on her face as she prepared for battle.

"KA-PAAAWWWW!!!!"

BAAAAAMMMMPPPP!!!!

The whole body of the White Whale was slammed into the earth, with a huge impact that broke the field, sending an earthquake to the ground. Those who witnessed Kyoko's action were flabbergasted and shocked by the strength wielded by this young woman.

Taking a chance where the White Whale already touched the ground, Wilhelm and Reinhard jumped off their dragons and landed on the monster's body. Their sword danced in the air as they sliced, slashed, and damaged any flesh of this destruction monster.

The blood splashed around like a blood rain had just arrived. Kyoko landed safely on the monster's body with wind magic, only to notice how terrifying and rageful Wilhelm was.

He sprints at an inhumane speed, which an elder was impossible to do, as the sword stabbed the flesh of the beast and dragged it with his race. The next attack would be his sword strike right into the White Whale's sight, cutting the whole eye in a circle until the eyeball fell out from the beast.

"Woah... Remind me to not piss him off."

"Milady!" Reinhard ran to his master, in a bloody outfit, as if he had just massacred the whole town, "Are you okay? Did you feel something weird?"

"I don't feel the symptoms yet... But it looks like I can't use teleportation magic again."

Teleportation is one of their special abilities that Kyoko gets out of the blue, especially the embarrassing moment when she accidentally teleports herself into Reinhard's room. That time, she is just wearing her underwear, and instead of screaming or running, she uses that opportunity to seduce this poor man.

Such a shameless woman.

One of the teleportation's magic weaknesses is Kyoko can use it once per day. Also, it has a small effect on her body. It is not worse than raising the libido to the maximum.

"THE WHITE WHALE STARTED MOVE!!!"

Wilhelm calls out urgently to the couple on the other side as the White Whale begins to stir from its slumber beneath the ground. The beast flew back into the air, swimming in the sea of emptiness.

"Reinhard, Reinhard!! Do something, Reinhard!!!" Kyoko yelled as her body was carried over the Sword Saint's shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

"Let's get out of here."

Reinhard quickened his steps toward his grandfather, immediately grabbing the back of his collar clothes and jumping off the giant beast. He needs to get these two precious people in his heart, out of this dangerous situation.

As they plunge from the beast, The White Whale charges at them with astonishing speed. That monster is about to pounce them in mid-air, revenge for damaging its body.

"YOU GOTTA BEING KIDDING ME!!!?"

THUDDDDDDDD!!!!

The White Whale smashed its colossal head forward with all its might, but the invisible shield around them held strong, effortlessly absorbing the impact of its striking force. A powerful gust of wind sends that blast around for extra effect. Thanks to Kyoko's ability in magic, they managed to cover that deathly attack.

Reinhard touched down on the land with a significant impact, making the groundbreaking, yet he stood up straight as if the jump hadn't affected him at all. It's impressive how he manages to remain composed despite such a risky landing.

"Fuck...." Kyoko muttered to herself, in disbelief at what she just experienced.

"This is bad," Wilhelm, standing up, managed to keep his stoic expression despite being shocked. He doesn't expect that his grandson, who he already abandoned and blamed for his wife's death, is willing to save him.

"I thought we managed to bring it down on the ground, so we could slay it with weapons. But now, we lost the chance to use that plan."

"Magic doesn't work on it?" Kyoko asked as she watched the White Whale get shot by a thousand magic blasts right after the attack and the attack.

"The White Whale's white scales shatter mana and disperse force. That's why a magic attack doesn't affect it and only stunts it for a few minutes," said Reinhard.

"The worst enemies of mage. WHAT THE HELL WITH THAT STUPID BUFF!!? HOW THE HECK TO KICK THAT MONSTER ASS INTO THE GROUND!!!?"

"Why don't use the same technique you did before?" Wilhelm asked.

"That magic spell can be used for once, and I'm just wasting it."

Kyoko let out a dramatic sigh, her finger resting thoughtfully on her chin. In a flash, inspiration struck her otherwise uninspired mind. The wicked grin that stretched across her face sent chills down Reinhard's spine, signaling that trouble was definitely on the horizon.

"If that fucking monster don't want to go down, then we going to slice them over there. Right on the air and FILLED THE WHOLE BATTLEFIELD WITH BLOODY RAIN!!!! MUAHAHAHA!!!"

As Kyoko enjoyed her evil moment with a terrifying laugh, Wilhelm tried to talk with his grandson despite being a stoic person. If he continues to use that damn expression again, these relationships will never be fixed.

"We shouldn't jump off from that monster." He said, mixed with cold and awkwardness in his voice.

"My apologies."

That's it? No more words?

This two duo, grandfather and grandson, absolutely have a doomed relationship.

If none are going to take the first step, they will still be living in hell.

Kyoko turned around and looked at The Sword Saint and The Sword Demon, "Alright, Astrea's gang. Could you two just... Tch! Fuck! Jesus! Why don't you two just be honest with each other?"

Regrettably, her suggestion was met with a profound silence, as if her words had dissipated into the air without a trace. Reinhard and Wilhelm averted their gazes, deliberately focusing on anything but each other— just avoiding every single interaction. The tension between them hung palpably in the air, a chasm of unspoken communication and clear avoidance.

"That's it. After this, I'm going kick you two in the room, lock it until you two get proper damn conversation—"

"AWWWWWOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

The anguished roar of the White Whale resonates across the field, delivering tremendous vibrations that pierce through the air, causing an overwhelming pain in everyone's ears. Several holes opened on its scales, releasing a dangerous black mist that covered the whole battlefield.

This situation surprised the armies as this was the first time they experienced this situation. What kind of this mist? Is it dangerous? If it's so, then... Would there be any chance of surviving?

"The heck with this fog?"

"This is bad, milady. We need to retreat to Crusch-sama." Said Reinhard; his hands were placed over Kyoko's shoulder as his voice mixed with concerns.

A chilling scream pierced the silence, reverberating with fear and agony from somewhere in the shadows. The thick, oppressive mist hung around them like a shroud, obscuring their vision and disorienting their senses. They strained to understand the chaos swirling around them, but the darkness cloaked every detail in uncertainty, leaving them on edge, unaware of what lurked just beyond their reach.

Three of them sprinted at a fast speed, with unclear directions. They just need to run until they meet the end or someone else. Thanks to the god, they reunited with Crusch and the other mercenaries. But, the number of them is smaller than before, which means someone already lost their life.

Also, thankfully Subaru is still alive.

"I thought you already dead."

"IS THAT YOUR FIRST WORDS AFTER PLACING ME AS THE BAIT!!? I'M LITERALLY ALMOST DEAD!!"

That's Natsuki Family for you. No matter how serious the situation, they get the time for jokes.

"We lost too many than we thought, "Cursch claimed as she moved closer to Kyoko with her earth dragon. The injured mercenaries was taken care by the medic as they get healing treatments.

Kyoko nodded before her eyes widened open, shocked by something she witnessed on the sky. Reinhard who stand beside her, moved to direction where his master looked, also was surprised the thing he saw.

"Oi, oi, oi!" Subaru was too stunned to said, "You gotta being kidding me right?"

One beast already being the whole river problem but....

Three?

That's the whole ocean.

"Awoooo!!!"

"Awoooo!!!"

"Awoooo!!!"

Three the White Whale appeared, swimming around in the black mist, placed the fear to the witnesses.
