In fact, Velsaria's arrival shouldn't have caused the boy any distress, but the problem was that Ellis's so-called roommate was her.
Now, the one who should be worried was Roa.
Since Velsaria had arrived, it was quite inappropriate for Roa to continue staying at Ellis's home.
Reluctantly, Roa had to bid farewell to Ellis, pick up his belongings, and prepare to change locations.
Upon hearing the news, Claire warmly welcomed Roa, having long coveted the boy's cooking skills. She hoped he could stay at her house and help her organize all her belongings.
Claire's plan was quite ambitious, but unfortunately, Roa showed a look of disdain and directly rejected the girl's invitation.
"Ah, why not? I finally mustered the courage to invite you."
Claire said this, and Roa shrugged, bluntly stating, "Is your room really being cleaned? If not, let Ren help you tidy it up."
Standing nearby, Ren Ashbell tilted her head, showing a puzzled expression, seemingly unaware of why she was being dragged into this.
Roa patted Ren Ashbell's shoulder, smiling, "Well, Ren, you're a girl now, so you need to get familiar with a girl's life."
After saying that, he chuckled.
Claire was confused, circling around Ren Ashbell, her expression even more puzzled. The girl curiously asked, "Ren was originally a girl, okay? What are you talking about? Besides the Demon King and you, how could there be any other males who can become spirit mages?"
Ren Ashbell wanted to say something, but Roa had already pushed her along, saying, "In any case, this troublesome fire cat is now your responsibility."
Thus, he decided to assign Ren Ashbell to Claire.
Surprisingly, Claire did not refuse. Although being rejected by Roa made her feel embarrassed, facing the idol she had admired since childhood, Claire blushed and nodded in agreement.
Watching the two depart, Roa felt somewhat helpless, "I clearly intended to find us a place to stay, but how did it turn into finding her a place?"
At that moment, a figure of light appeared beside him, and Est's silhouette materialized. The girl, with a cold expression, said to Roa, "Master, are we moving?"
Roa nodded casually, "I guess so, since Ellis's roommate has also arrived."
Est hesitated for a moment and suddenly asked, "How about we go to Rinslet's house?"
Roa thought for a moment and nodded, "I guess we can only go to Rinslet's house."
Tapping on Rinslet's door, she quickly came to the door and opened it.
Since they often gathered in Rinslet's room, everyone felt no embarrassment. Roa greeted her and directly sat on the sofa, explaining his purpose to Rinslet.
Rinslet was slightly taken aback but then happily agreed.
This girl with dazzling golden hair loved to take care of others and did not feel troubled by it.
After putting away his luggage, Rinslet cleaned a room for Roa and said to him and Est, "The house is a bit simple; I hope you won't mind. You can stay in this room for now."
Roa looked at the spotless room and expressed his satisfaction.
Ellis had a strong sense of responsibility, and this girl before him also liked to take care of others.
If it were Claire, the object of care would immediately change, making daily life much more troublesome.
And Roa was someone who greatly disliked trouble.
Now that he could resume his laid-back life, Roa felt very pleased.
Rinslet brought over the bedding, spread it on the bed, and took two pillows, asking, "Is this enough? Do you need me to get another pillow?"
Rinslet's words left Roa in silence. He opened his mouth to ask, "Why do you need to get three pillows?"
Rinslet looked up in confusion and retorted, "What do you mean why? Don't you have a spirit with you?"
Roa was left speechless, took a deep breath, and then said, "Two will do; you can get one more."
Under Rinslet's disdainful gaze, Roa cleared his throat and changed the subject, "Is your servant still sleeping?"
Rinslet nodded, "A girl can only protect her skin well by taking a nap."
Roa's mouth twitched. He sighed deeply and said helplessly, "I really don't know who is whose maid."
Not wanting to dwell on this topic, Roa put his clothes in the wardrobe, taking out and arranging his daily necessities one by one.
After that, he completely settled into Rinslet's home.
Aside from the change in who was serving him, everything else remained the same.
Rinslet talks much more than Ellis and usually has a lot of free time.
Aside from training, she often thinks about some strange and quirky things, or she engages in banter with Claire.
There are about two to three team gatherings each week, during which they head to the Spirit Forest for team competitions. The remaining time can be spent seeking out Roa to request information about sword dancing and similar topics.
Of course, whether or not they can find her is another matter.
Now, the five-person team has gathered four members, leaving just one spot to be filled.
Not long after moving in with Rinslet, an unexpected event occurred again.
That day was sunny and bright, and the team gathered together for training.
The training involved pairs, where two people would spar against each other. Once one person defeated the other, the winner would then face another winner.
In fact, as long as Roa wanted, she could quickly take down three people, but that would defeat the purpose of training.
When it was time for Roa to draw lots, she continuously fed her opponent attacks, pointing out their flaws. Finally, when she noticed that the nearby team was about to finish, she knocked her opponent down with a single strike and moved on to the next round.
Occasionally, Roa would also try a one-against-three scenario.
The results were predictable, with Roa emerging victorious while the other three lay sprawled on the ground, some groaning while clutching their waists, looking quite disheveled.
Today was no different. Roa dodged Claire's whip, and the wooden sword in her right hand ignited with flames, launching directly toward Claire's position.
Although it was a wooden sword, the intense heat did not consume it; upon closer inspection, the surface of the sword was surrounded by a dark, ominous aura.
This was not magical power but rather the divine might of the Dark Elemental Lord.
The sword moved quickly, but it was not at a speed that was impossible to react to.
This speed was the limit that Claire could handle.
Almost the moment Roa threw the sword, Claire sidestepped to the right.
The whistling wind swept through as the fiery sword shot toward Claire like a comet.
Just as Claire dodged, the sword grazed her scalp.
Sweat beaded on Claire's forehead as she rolled to the right, stumbling to a stop. She turned to Roa and shouted angrily, "Hey, hey, do you want to kill me?"
Roa shrugged and replied, "You're still alive, aren't you?"
While the two were conversing, the match next door had already concluded.
Ren Ashbell stood with a cold expression, looking at the girl who had fallen to the ground.
After a moment's thought, Ren Ashbell extended a hand to help the blonde girl up.
Having spent time together, everyone had come to realize that Ren Ashbell simply didn't like to talk much. Although she appeared cold on the surface, she was actually very kind-hearted.
Rinslet was slightly taken aback but accepted Ren Ashbell's helping hand, smiling as she said, "Thank you."
Ren Ashbell remained silent, standing by and watching the battle between Roa and Claire.
The fight did not last long, and ultimately, Claire was taken down by a slash from Roa.
Claire held her head, wailing for a while before finally recovering.
Roa began to list all the mistakes Claire had made, concluding with, "Go back and review this. You need to change these little habits; in battle, life and death often hinge on a single moment."
After summarizing everything, Roa turned her gaze to the side and curiously asked, "What's wrong, Ellis?"
At this, everyone looked over to see a somewhat dazed girl.
It was still the girl with azure hair, Ellis, who, as usual, wore the outfit symbolizing the Sylphid Knights. However, at this moment, she appeared lost, as if she had suffered a great shock.
Ellis lifted her gaze, her hazel eyes flashing with pain. Standing still, she took a deep breath, and her expression became resolute as she approached Roa and deeply bowed.
Claire and Rinslet were both taken aback, and when Roa reached out to support Ellis, she was stopped by Ellis.
The girl took a deep breath and said, "Roa, I want to join your team."
"What's going on?" Roa did not immediately agree to the girl's request but instead inquired about the reason.
Ellis explained, "My sister, Velsaria, has taken several members from my team."
Roa felt puzzled, and at that moment, Claire and Rinslet spoke up in indignation, "What? How could she do that? Causing trouble for her own sister? There really are such sisters in this world."
Ellis sighed at their words, saying helplessly, "Maybe my influence just isn't strong enough. Even though she's my sister, she just said a few words and pulled the members over."
At this point, a bitter smile appeared on Ellis's face.
This smile was extremely forced, causing Claire and Rinslet to exchange glances, unsure of how to respond.
Originally, Claire and Rinslet didn't have much of an opinion about Ellis. Their conflicts with her stemmed purely from her often getting in the way when they were causing trouble. To Claire and Rinslet, it seemed like Ellis was just being nosy.
From Ellis's perspective, the two were often problematic students challenging school rules, so their relationship was naturally not good.
But now, seeing the usually confident Ellis display such an expression, both of them felt a twinge of sympathy for her.
Roa nodded, indicating that he understood Ellis's situation.
He called the three of them over and asked, "What do you think? Should we accept Ellis?"
Ren Ashbell remained silent, not saying a word.
As the new member of the team, she didn't know what opinion she could express.
Claire and Rinslet exchanged glances but remained silent.
Rinslet was a soft-hearted person, and seeing her old rival in such a state made Claire feel a bit reluctant as well.
Roa noticed their hesitation and said directly, "I don't mind Ellis joining. After all, we owe her a lot for her previous help."
With Roa saying this, Claire snorted, crossing her arms in a haughty manner as she addressed Ellis, "Well, your strength is somewhat decent, so I particularly allow you to join our team."
Ellis looked up, her face lighting up with joy. Being a girl of simple thoughts, her emotions were all on display. She grabbed Claire's hand and choked out, "Thank you, thank you! I used to think you were all a bunch of brainless people. I'm sorry."
Claire's mouth twitched; she wanted to question Ellis about who was brainless, but seeing Ellis's choked-up expression, she ultimately couldn't bring herself to say it.
With a deep sigh, Claire suppressed her impulse and forced a smile, saying, "It's fine. I used to think you were a stubborn old-fashioned person who didn't understand flexibility."
Roa:
Why does it feel like the atmosphere is a bit strange?
After accepting Ellis into the team, she began to recount the events that had transpired.
It all started on the first day Velsaria arrived at the academy, when she intended to reclaim the authority of the Sylphid Knights.
Velsaria had a strong reputation, having previously been the leader of the Sylphid Knights, and her own strength was formidable. She had even been hailed as the strongest person in the academy.
After all, Velsaria had once stood on the stage of the Spirit Blade Dance Festival as a spirit mage.
Being able to participate in such a grand event that showcased spirit mages to the world proved just how exceptional Velsaria's abilities were.
To put it bluntly, in the entire Ordesia Empire, among spirit mages under twenty, it was nearly impossible to find someone who could rival Velsaria.
If it weren't for encountering Ren Ashbell, who was somewhat of a wallflower, Velsaria would have had no problem reaching the top four, even if she didn't win the championship.
Now, three years had passed, and Velsaria's strength would only have increased; she would definitely not be weaker.
The spirit mages at the academy took pride in participating in the Spirit Blade Dance Festival, and it was hard for any spirit mage not to be tempted by the olive branch Velsaria extended.
