I had a mini heart attack when Vivana told me about my engagement last night. It was like a bolt from the blue for me. I almost lost my shits and went on a rampage at the news.
The royals are required to marry someone of blue blood or royal blood. Our destiny is bound before we can even born. But nobody from the royal family aside from Vivana and me is without a partner.
Vivana is an invincible woman. Everyone—including me—believes that she doesn't require a partner to rule the Kingdom. But it is not the same for me. If not for my exceptional military skills, I would already be counted as a liability to the Kingdom.
This is why the parliament members are pressurizing Roy to do something about it. Roy and Vivana had decided on my engagement to Kelly a long time ago when I was away. They didn't bother to ask me what I wanted and arranged everything. Vivana just came in and let me know the events of the evening ahead so that I don't freak out when Roy announces this.
