Chapter 1 - The Wheel of Destiny: A New World Awaits

'Thought'

"Talking"

------------------------------------------------------------------

The alarm blared, dragging me from my dreams. Just another day in my daily life of work and research. Little did I know that today would change everything forever.

As I dragged myself to work, the subway car shakes violently. The lights flickered, and when they came back on, the other passengers were gone. Instead, a single figure sat across from me—a man with piercing blue eyes and an enigmatic smile.

"Hello, John," he said, though I had never told him my name. "I'm Rob."

I stared at him, confused. "What's happening? Where did everyone go?"

Rob chuckled. "They're still on their journey. You, however died, at the age of 27 of exhausts of work, you find the cure for every single sickness of the world, had a wife and three children."

"Actually, two kid, one of four-year-old and the oldest of six-year-old." I spoke

"Yes, but one was on his way, Sorry Kid." Rob Said

I sat there feeling sad that I couldn't be there for my wife and my kid especially the one that was on his way

"But hey your family live well with all that research that you were taking to publish, it saves a lot a family and to show their gratitude they all help your family , your wife never remarried even when a lot a men try so they can live a good live, your wife even use some of the frozen sperm that you guys had to have more kid." rob spoke "So let talk about your new beginning." He snapped his fingers, and the subway car dissolved around us, replaced by an endless white room containing only a massive, ornate wheel.

"What is this place?" I asked, my voice echoing in the void.

"The Nexus of Destiny," Rob replied, approaching the wheel. "Your life has reached a critical juncture. The universe has selected you for... an opportunity."

The wheel was divided into dozens of colorful sections, each bearing strange symbols and names. Rob gestured toward it with a flourish.

"This is the Wheel of Destiny. It will determine which world you'll be transported to and what power you'll possess there. A new life, new abilities, new adventures."

"I don't understand," I stammered. "You're saying I'm going to be sent to another world?"

"Precisely," Rob nodded. "You're being isekai'd, as the kids say. Your old life ends today. Your new one begins with a spin of this wheel."

My heart raced as I approached the wheel. This couldn't be real, and yet... something inside me knew it was.

"Go ahead," Rob encouraged. "Spin it and discover your fate."

With trembling hands, I gripped the edge of the wheel and pulled, sending it spinning in a blur of colors. As it slowed, I held my breath.

The wheel clicked to a stop. The pointer rested on a section marked with a stylized dragon.

"How to Train Your Dragon," Rob announced, his eyes gleaming. "A world of vikings and dragons, danger and wonder."

Before I could process this, the wheel began to spin again of its own accord.

"And now for your power," Rob explained.

The second spin slowed, finally stopping on a golden section adorned with a crown.

Rob's eyebrows shot up. "The Emperor System. Fascinating. You'll have the ability to build, summon and rule, to command and evolve. A power of incredible potential."

A sudden wind began to swirl around us, and I felt myself becoming lighter.

"Wait! I don't know what any of this means!" I shouted over the growing tempest.

Rob smiled one last time. "You'll figure it out. Everyone does eventually. Good luck, Erik. I'll be watching your journey with great interest."

The white room shattered like glass around me, and I was falling through an endless void. The last thing I heard was Rob's voice:

"Welcome to your new life, Emperor."
